Exclusivity is irrelevant and only panders to fanboys.

Actually, exclusivity is important - its a big factor in deciding what console you get. It also defines how well a game will run on the console.

I agree. This console exclusivity pisses me off. It doesn't mean anything and it doesn't do anything!Not to mention it's the most pointless thing to argue about. It's like children arguing about how many cars there parents have!

Anyway, why the hell isn't the 360 winning in it's own category?! IGN gave "best 360 game of the year" to "Call of Duty 4" - what the fuck? No Mass Effect or some other exclusive? A game on all platforms but the Wii? WHY?!

Well to point out, Mass effect isn't an exslusive either.

At the time it was, giving it a shot at best 360 game.

Um... what if you have different tastes to these judges? Sorry, but I don't get the hubbub about this. If some guys liked Mirror's Edge better that Gears of War 2 or Fable 2, how does that affect me? I'm still going to get Gears 2, BiA:HH and POP, so I don't care. I still get to play the games I want, so... how is this worthy of its own post?

I know it was brought up, but I only ever heard of this game because my friend has it on his 360...

I would have expected Fable2 or GOW2 to win purely because they are designed solely for the X360 and you would expect them to razzle and dazzle on that platform above a multi-platform game. That's all - and hats off to Mirror's Edge - it must be pretty special indeed.

Umm, but do you know, that GOW2 wasn't shown in GamesCon? That's because Germany has really strict laws in game reviewing. If they think, that it involves sex, or too much violence - the game wouldn't be released. The same thing happened to GOW1.

These forums are great because generally theres no fanboys....if your going to create for threads like this then leave. As for this - who cares what panals of judges think, its your personal opinion of a game that maters, not what anyone else thinks.

And the message is relatively clear - the best game you can get on the 360 is not as good as the best game you can get on the Ps3.

It depends on what you like - personally I disliked the first Resistance, but enjoyed Fable : TLC on PC and so got a 360. You can't claim "the best game you can get on ps3 is better than on the 360" because everyone has different tastes - if you like Resitance then good, but stop it with these fanboy posts.
