... reading all of your replies, stating that you now frequently forget to eat, let me give you a piece of advice. GO SEE A DOCTOR OR A SHRINK OR SOMETHING! While a fast here and there, especially if you know how to do it right, is not a big deal, if it's something you're doing all the time that is not healthy. It isn't even a matter of how much damage any one period of not eating is doing, a lifestyle where you do that all of the time is just not good for you. What you describe may not technically be anorexia, it will have the same end result. Don't think that explaining how you got that way will change the effects. FOR THE LOVE OF THE GOD WHOSE EXISTENCE I REMAIN FAIRLY SKEPTICAL IN REGARDS TO, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!
Your concern is touching, But believe me, I'll be alright. Or I'll die, either way the problem will be resolved.
Uhmmm... not getting hungry again is not what I would call a... solution. JUST EAT!

Please eat little escapist,
Please do it now;
Or you'll be on Death's list,
And at that thought I frown.

What you're doing ain't healthy,
And it'll fuck with your head;
So go eat something for us,
Or you might just drop dead.

I have been many times without eating for good 24hours and after that I usually THINK I have to eat, but I'm never hungry o.0 I guess I could manage 2 or 3 days without eating... But I won't try it!

To be a bit more verbose than some of these fine people...

*ahem* I have done this too, many times. In my case. it's generally the result of either depression or excessive stimulation. I don't think I'd actually endorse an attempt at furthering this, not eating, but can at least empathize with you.

No thanks. I went 11 days without food once. Have fun when you hit the one week mark. Around then your body will start eating itself just to keep you alive.

How the hell can you forget to eat for 3 days? What the hell have you been doing?

Personally, I can't go much longer than 6 hours without food. I could probably survive for a few weeks without food, like most humans. Why would I want to though? My stomach would ache and I would achieve nothing really.

The only reason I would fast at all is for charity maybe... But there are other ways of raising money!
OK... let me suggest this... EATING CONTEST FOR CHARITY!!! PIZZAS GALORE!!!

I'm not fasting. It makes my cognitive abilities dull and I am at the gym 4 times a week. I need food.

This happens to me sometimes in the school week, where between gaming, homework and hanging out with friends, I feel no hunger because of the ridiculous amounts of water and caffeine I consume.

Hell, not eating for three days is awful to your body.

Also, I am a hungry billy, so I fast for no one.
the body can go more than 7 days without food. its water you need to worry about. if you hear about someone who died after being stranded, its due to dehydration not starvation.

I'm what the French call a "gourmand". I enjoy food (thank god my metabolism stops me from getting fat). Still, I think forgetting to eat for three days is both worrying and impressive. I mean, how do you manage to forget one of the three most basic instincts? (Eat, reproduce, avoid dying)

Hey, how about no?
There are more pleasurable ways to damage my body.
"But my personal best is four days, so a week seems like a good target." A good target? Really?

Eh, I can easily forget to eat for upwards of a couple of days, especially when I have a cold like i do now and I just don't feel hungry at all. Despite this, I eat at least a few various fruits every couple of hours regardless of whether or not I'm hungry or I know I'm just doing myself harm.

My abdomen already forms a concave and my ribs are easily visible. And I eat shitloads - I dread to think what would happen if I didn't. So no thanks, you can keep your accidental diet.

As some other people have pointed out, it sounds like a medical issue. You may want to check that, lest you suffer the severely-ill effects of malnutrition.

Tell you what...I'll join you in not eating anything under one condition.

I get to drink as much beer as I like.

This is going to be an awesome week...
You've got a deal, my fasting certainly hasn't stopped me from drinking beer.
