Poor argument. What does it matter to you if it matters to me...? Slippery slope. And it doesn't matter to me, I'm just offering some introspection.
I'm not trying to argue - at all. I'm just saying there's really no need to call out for "immaturity" over a matter that gets taken differently by many people. "Choke-slamming" an individual isn't mature at all. In fact, I've been in moments like yours before and I still don't act. In fact, your whole post was very arrogant.

At this point I sighed, got up, grabbed him by the throat and basically did a chokeslam on a marble floor, with his head hitting a rock or something. No, don't worry, I didn't kill him, was a pretty "gentle" slam, just enough to hurt him a lot.

He cried, I laughed and walked away, he never bothered me again. Ever. That's how you take care of it.
What the fuck is this shit? Are you for real? You're trying to correct other's actions while stating how much of a "bad-ass" you were in doing said action. I fail to see your logic. You're like the parent who tells their kid not to get into the habit of smoking, then turns to go outside and light up a cigarette.

My school has a lake...we get a few incidents like this, but after a few weeks enough "warnings" have gone out and the year sevens learn a little respect.

Seeing as most upperclassmen are stronger than I am, I usually stay out of their way. I don't really take myself too seriously either, so they don't really mess with me.

Seriously? That happened to you?

... I've heard of 7th graders getting more loud-mouthed over the year, but... threatening people twice their size?

WHY HAST THOU FORSAKEN US, OH HOLY NATURAL SELECTION!?
1) Welfare states, which the vast majority of the "civilized" world is, act directly counter to natural selection in all things. Providing for those who can't provide for themselves is quite literally the only way to completely dismantle the effect of natural selection on a species.

2) In general, people have always been stupid, regardless of what anyone says. This generation is (generally) no better or worse than before.

3) If that ever happens, that's when you slap the kid a few times until he realizes that mouthing off like that is going to hurt far more than any loss of "cred" with his "peeps".

...I don't go to school.

But on a tangentally related note, there's a band of 7-8th graders at the elementary school down the road who roam the halls and make it their business to beat the shit out of anybody who says anything remotely racist.

As the saying goes, the only thing worse than an Alabama racist is an Alabama liberal.

Just thought of it now, I also had the tactic of just acting creepy, a few examples, if they bothered me, I would pick one, go up to him, sing the first few lines of Monty Python's "Sit on my Face", hug him, and walk away. If I was being followed, I would go around a corner, wait for them to go past, sneak up behind them, and just whisper "You smell pretty" and make heavy breathing sounds........ Fun times

Year 7s were never the issue in my school. It was the bloody Year 8s who thought they were tough. They'd been in secondary school a WHOLE YEAR and were therefore bad-ass bitches. They made me laugh.

I have a little shit like that in my class. He ALWAYS tells everything hes done just so everyone knows he is able to do it.And for a while he was bullying me.Mainly by standing 5 meters from me and spouting profanity. He stopped when i coudnt take it anymore and showed him that i hit hard and the fact that my fist is about the size of his face. But hes still acting like he is ever-so-smart.and one time he goes up to me and said:"I have an iq of 22" at the tone as if he just invented time travel.I did a weird combination of lauging and crying afterwards.

I think natural selection is dead. The idiots shall rise, and the world will come tumbling down.

People don't tend to mess with me, not people who are bigger than me, definitely not people that are smaller than me. So, I've never had this problem, but I do know of some people I've had to step in for. It's getting bad.

well I don't know your backstory but my brother's school is easily the worst one to go to in our area yet it credibly argues that it's the best since you aren't allowed in unless you get higher than a D in the 11+(or if you have relatives in the school, btw I live in Northern Ireland but my mum's from New York)yet every other school that requires a grade (like mine) you'd be lucky to get in with a B2.
P.S.To anyone who doesn't know the 11+ grades go like this in order of good to bad:
A
B1
B2
C1
C2
D

Just get a few mates with crowbars and scare the little shits and if they call the coppers, say you've done nothing and they're lying because they like to piss people off.

Well kids are assholes at that age but I was never quite like that because I was bullied from the beginning of grade school 1st year to the tenth (I live in Iceland) Humiliated by older students, followed home and thrown like a little ragdoll and I didn't have a big brother to cry to because I am the big brother hehe now I'm 16 and it stopped when I was 14 started when I was 5 I still have social problems because of this but I learned one thing that I wouild never ever put this kind of misery on children even tho they pissed me off then I would just follow the way of Buddha.

Karmas a ***** and someone else is going to deal with them.
But today I really don't care about them sure they try to be aggressive but I just smile and walk.

^_^ This is quite enjoyable to see this post because most kids are jerks on these age ranges.

Too much? Hardly. I would have just punched him out. More effective, less hassle. If all they're doing is talking then who cares? If they get physical then just terminate them.

Since we're sharing stories: when I was in 9th grade (or so), I remember one day I was just sitting around waiting for the school bus with my friend, and this dickhead (he was like...2 or 3 years younger and my backpack was bigger than him) was spouting insults just for the sake of being a dick. My friend, who was about as mature as you can expect from a 9th grader (no insult to him), was asking me "Man, aren't you going to do anything about it?! You're just gonna let him do it?!", to which I constantly replied I simply didn't give a shit... Which I didn't. Then this kid made the mistake of picking up rocks and throwing.

You don't get angry, you don't rage, you ignore the retards till they compromise your physical integrity, at which point you do whatever it takes to make them stop.

Geo Da Sponge said:
There's no need to get angry, just show them there are boundaries, and consequences for their actions.

And I never said otherwise, I for once enjoy doing "bad things"... So when someone gives me a reason to do them, all the better. But flying off the handle and getting angry and angst... It really just makes it hard to take someone seriously.

hyperhammy said:
Again, why does this bother you that much? They're just talking. They're just being stupid. The more you get angry over it, the more they'll do, because making you angry is the point.

If it really bothers you, outsmart them. Just remember them, and then next time they're sitting around eating lunch, or waiting for the bus, or whatever, just kick them in the head then ask them if they still wanna make fun of you. Not only doesn't that reinforce their attitude by not providing them the feedback they expect, but it also provides them negative feedback.

You know what they say, "don't get angry, get even".
Oh, sorry for writing a paragraph about why this stuff happens, I thought that you were one of those preachy types who thinks that the kids don't deserve it. Although your method of dealing with them seems to have a lot in common with how psychopaths work. Cold, emotionless, uncaring, but when they push you too far it all goes wrong for them.

I like it.

Little assholes like that infect our school like a fucking plague. They think they're so tough and if you "front them" or fuck with them they'll bring their "gangs" and "bang you up". Now whenever I see that happen or hear of it happening it just makes me laugh. When those little kids get to high school and try that on a grade 10 or 12 the grade 10 or 12 person will do more then just roof their bag or tell them to fuck off.

Some year 9 was giving one of my lesbian friends a metric fuckton of garbage at lunch. Me being 6' 3" stood up. The kid was 5' 1". All I had to do was look at him with a death glare and he ran off. I think he may of soiled himself. I recieved High-5s and a peck on the cheek by my lesbian friend. She's not that wierded out by phisical contact.

you stole my avatar. jk

OT: when i was a freshmen in highschool my class was a bunch of hoodlums, but I dont remember anyone messing with the 12th graders. I do remember a group of five kids in my class trying to set the school on fire by throwing pop bottles, papers and what not up into the hallway lights which get very hot. the started a fire but it didnt do any damage.
