Year 7s are annoying, but if you just ignore them they tend to go away and suck a juice box.

Or go cry if you do anything else.

I doubt i will ever have the chance to "beat a fucker". I have been mocked plenty times, so i would'nt need encouraging to do so.

The thing is that i live in Denmark, where you can be sentenced from age 15, and i will be 15 come December 22nd.
best get beating then quick before you can get sentenced for it ;), get the next 50 years worth out :p

Seriously? That happened to you?

... I've heard of 7th graders getting more loud-mouthed over the year, but... threatening people twice their size?

WHY HAST THOU FORSAKEN US, OH HOLY NATURAL SELECTION!?
Hey, around here, it isn't just year 7's, it's third graders and up.
Kids talking like an old sailor, swearing and all that, threatening to beat the shit out of us High School-students.
But then again, around here it is about as bad as in the capital, Oslo.

I think it comes from the fact that kids nowadays gets spoiled and thinks it'll last forever, so they can basically do what they want. I can't wait 'til real life punches them in the face and demands them to wake up.

Ah yes..... One of the first years (What we call them in Ireland)was having a go at me, I was having a bad day...... so I turned around and punched him. This was strange as I was(and still am)not really the kind of person to do this.

They've been like that for a couple of years. I wouldn't have dared gob off to a sixth former, let alone talk to them.
One called me an emo and a fat ***** a few weeks ago. I'm good friends with his mum, I gave her a ring and she humiliated him in front of his friends.
How did she humiliate him if you don't mind me asking?
She picked him up from school when he was walking with his friends and said something like "Do you think you're big and clever insulting someone? If it's because you're still upset that you wet the bed last week, we can put you in nappies." then pulled him away and walked him home.
Ah, Sweet revenge. :D
I doubt his friends will let him forget about it.
Hopefully he learned his lesson. :)

The UK School system needs to be completely 3 tier (I know some places already are) because 11-16 is far too big an age gap for kids in the same school.
You think 11-16 is bad? Up here in Scotland we have 5-12 and then 12-18 in the same schools. Although, the problem of younger folk with Napoleon Complexes is not so pronounced here, I guess having such a large age gap can teach someone their place, although there is still friction between adjacent year groups.

The reason these days is kids with kids. These people have no idea how to handle their kids, and will spoil them just to make them shut the fuck up, and they think that will cross over to school.

In a related note, I've got some bloody kids with their kids living in my area; these young'ins are no older than about 7, and one random kid gave me the finger and all I did was walk past him on my way home. I didn't even speak, nay look at the kid until he did that. And I'm sure they could teach me a few words.

Kids these days. I wouldn't have dared do anything like that, or swear or something, for fear of a clout 'round the ear. That's probably another reason. No discipline.
Not that I'm for beating kids, but giving them a discouraging slap should be allowed now and then.

Firstly I agree that younger kids are getting brattier. Some learn that it won't help them but the majority don't. There are only two ways to solve it. 1) Beating them down to their place. It's harsh and you will also be put down by teachers but they will learn quickly. 2) Parents must be stricter (or allowed to be stricter) to their kids. I know that when I was younger if I did something bad I would get a quick smack. It seemed to work as I think I'm normal 0_o

There really isn't much we can do to help people who want to be dicks. That's their choice. All I can do is look forward to the time when I will probably be their boss. Luckily I haven't ha many of these cases bacause I'm 6ft 4in so no one would dare to pick on me.

In the states, we call these "6th Graders". They are just as annoying and will retain their annoying status until "9th Grade" making them largely un-befriend-able <--- That most definitely is a word.

When I was in high school there was a kid that tried shit like that with me. My school had 7th-12th grades (small area). I was one of the biggest guys in the school and he would try to act like he was tough shit, so one day I threw him into the library window and held him there til he started to cry. He didn't try it with me ever again. He was just a trouble maker that eventually was kicked out of the school.

When I was in the equivalent of grade 12, 4 6-7th graders actually tried to rob me when I was on my way home.
I had already had a shitty day, and I had a headache, so I was not in a good mood to begin with.
Their stupidity put me over my limit, and I beat the crap out of two of them while the other two ran away.
I might have broken teeth, can't really remember.

Also, I didn't have my wallet with me that day anyway.

12 to 18? Damn. There is no way I would have been able to put up with 12 year olds at that age, lucky for you it's not too much of an issue, but where I went to school there would have been murders... and more than likely pedophilia. (I'm not kidding, there was a guy in Y11 (16) with a 12 year old girlfriend when I was in school, so an 18 year old with, say, a 14 year old wouldn't be too unlikely).

I didn't have this happen a lot in High School (I was in an Honors Program). Unfortunately for them, many of them live in my neighborhood and I can be very brutal to idiots.

The most annoying example was a year ago when I was taking a walk around my neighborhood to relax after finals. After a while, I noticed that I was being followed by 4 kids on bikes (all were less than 13, I was 17) who seemed to have no intention of simply passing me. After a while, they began to see how close they could bike in circles around me without actually hitting me. I told them to leave, they told me to fuck off.

I noticed who the leader was, and kicked the front wheel of his bike so hard that the wheel jack-knifed and flipped him off the bike. The bike promptly landed on top of him, he whimpered a little bit, and they have never bothered me since.

Yeah, I had those... when I was in 8th grade. (btw, this doesn't exactly work here like in the US... whatever I won't go into that)
I was 15, and got bullied 13 year olds. Mind you, I'm pretty short, and they were quite large for their age. So I grabbed the arm of the kid who was the most annoying, twisted it behind his back, shoved him to the ground, and proceeded to kick him once he was down. In the shin. Nonetheless, he was crying like a *****. Ah, good times...
