If you liked RuneScape a few years back, you'll hate it now. So many things have changed, the game's barely recognizable anymore. And this new skill, "dungeoneering" ... I mean, the fuck is this? It's a mini-game that's been made into a skill.

If anyone cares, i just made an account called "escapistclan" that you could use for an in-game clan chat.
and i made the Group. links above or on the last page.
Why am I not surprised that the cc was empty when I tried it?

i was browsing some help sites and came accross an Ad for Runescae. its been years since i played it but i like to see what jagex adds, so i clicked on it ahd it took me to "Runescape:Dungeons of Daemonhiem"

it looks good and i was thinking of maybe starting again. anyone interested in creating an Escapist clan?
An Escapist clan? If we had one of those I might start playing again.

I used to play Runescape, but then I found Combat Arms, Savage 2, and Minecraft, which are all free as well(at the moment)

I used to be really into that. I was a member and all, which is why I can't play it now. Last time I tried to go back to play it I forgot I wasn't a member and now I can't use 90% of my items or do any quests or put anything into the bank since it's full.

I can't really see that much of an improvement, to be honest. The interface hasn't changed that much, and the characters still look about as blocky as they used to. It also looks like it's got Tabula Rasa's problem: Why go to the effort of customizing if everyone's going to be wearing the same stock-standard armour in about 2 minutes anyway?

I really enjoyed Runescape when I was younger and I've tried playing again, but I always lose interest. The constant grinding isn't fun.

Man, I played this game for hours on end. I got into it in 2004 and played for four years straight.
I actually really, really liked the grinding, just because it may have been grinding, but there were so many skills, that instant gratification of hitting the next level was always right around the corner.
It was cheap, easy, and fun. What else is there to say?

On a side note: there was one place that was super popular for fishing back in 2007, and if you spent enough time there, the conversations that were had in that place were pure hilarity.

There are some much better browser/flash games. Seriously.

Though I liked having my rich friends support me and giving stuff away to people who didn't constantly beg and actually needed it.
