Mage or stealhty talky type. I don't like straight up fighters. If at all possible, I like to keep the amount of killing to a minimum. It's far more satisfying to sneak past all the guards, take a garrote wire to their leader, get the treasure, and get out before the front door guard gets done taking a piss in the bushes.
I agree with the stealth approach. I wish more games had this option and did a good job presenting this option. Straight up fighting gets boring after a while. Mage is fun every now and again, but sneak attacks are better suited for me.

In a wrpg I'll rush for the mage first. Warriors hit things and practice the art of fighting. Rogues try not to adhere to the rules of fighting and kill things with as cheap tactics as possible. Mages don't follow the rules of the universe.

Jrpgs tend to hate magic so I go with a warrior there.

Warrior to start (If I don't I have to throw away all the sweet axes and armor :() to get a feel for the game and then usually a mage of some sort. Necromancer if possible.

i always go mage they're always the most fun for me.

Take dragon age for example, all the other classes besides mage are boring to me.

you could have made a poll

I always Roll a Ninja Sloth...

Perfect blend of Thief, Warrior and Archer but with low Agility

only problem is i have to be carried on other players backs and thrown into battle

on the up side i have go zero Aggro cause no one sees me as a threat ..until i'm ripping into them with my giant Sloth claws.. Slowly

Well, in Morrowing and Oblivion I played rogue, but it isn't exactly a rogue like we normally think. So the best way to describe my RPG habits would be that I play a Fighter in AD&D.

I like Mages. The spells and abilities are diferent from game to game, where as a warrior is always pretty much the samee. Also the spells and more variety to combat.

I always go for hybrid classes if they exist... Like druids in WoW, ritualists in Guild Wars and chanters in Aion. I like being able to adapt to different situations. If I have to choose between warrior/mage/rogue, I go for mage. They're usually the most versatile.

A warrior, I also always specialise In heavier armor, swords, and normally a shield. I will occasionally branch out on other playthroughs though.

Oblivion i was an assasin because i like stealth in that game and i use mag sword and bow

i don't play many fantasy rpgs though...

Right now im playing final fantasy tactics a2 on hard and thus far i have luso as a soldier, a bangae warrior, green mage/white mage, a black mage, moogle night/animist, and an archer who also takes the role of soldier when needed.

I haven't got anymore characters yet or any good bows. XD

I like assassin type characters so I go for the rogue. Except in WoW, I don't like the fantasy in WOW for some reason. Everything feels so rigid. Still fun game tho.

I normally go rogue with spec for combat (aka duelist) or mage if casting is fun in that particular game(like Dragon Age or Demon Souls).

Well to base it on "Real Life Situations".. Say as a Zombie invasion.

Mages do not exist..neither does magic...So pointless...

Warriors are metal suited men with big 2-handed weapons which are 50/50 chanced to swing and miss depending on the warriors strength, eye and Reflex's.

Hunters/Archers can change theirs types of arrows depending on situations...Arrows can easily pierce a warrior plate armor. An Archer can outrun a Warrior. A Archer may also have an animal by guard, An Archer can also carry melee weapons (Preferably Duel weapons.) Also Traps Training if actually certified. And being able to survive in the Forest etc. And that's just a few things about Hunters/Archer IRL,

LOL well yer so imo HUNTERS FTW!.. Eww warriors..Btw Paladin does not count as a Warrior, cause they don't exist.

c4 arrows ftw....

I like playing tricky spellcasters rather than sheer damage based casters. If I can do that with a magical class I will. Blowing people up with big spells just never did it for me.

Beyond that I usually opt to go with an archer or thief type. Never been the type to want to be armored and rushing into combat without a care in the world.

Depends, if it's an MMO I'll go toward a healer [of coarse that's not listed  ], but if not then I will be a mighty warrior to crush my enemies beneath my battle axe. I'm not some guy who needs wussy magic or needs to be far away to kill my enemies >:D
