Won't work for four reasons

1) Female pill only has to hit one target. Male pill has to hit EVERY one of n thousand targets.
2) One night stand males have nothing to lose either way.
3) Guys, do you remember to brush your teeth EVERY night? Or get your hair cut every couple of months?
4) If there's even a .00001% chance of it rendering you infertile, 90% of the blokes won't touch it.

Not saying the female pill is better in any respect, but at least they have a damn good reason to take it.

(And yes I'm being harsh to blokes, but would you trust any of your best mates with that choice?)

I spent about 5 minutes debating the pros and cons of this in my head before realising I will probably never get laid so I don't need to worry about it.

Holy shit! I was just talking about the possibility of a male version of "the pill"

well this sounds impressive, let's see what the side effects are, then if it's out in 3 years I can have a good senior year of college lmao

Funny, a friend asked mw if I'd ever use the ''man pill''. Thought see was talking about a different pill.

I would use it if it was proven 100% safe, but I'd still use a condom firstly. Pills can't protect from STDs.

I can't believe they tested on animals.
So? They can't test it on much else and have semi-dependable results, they also can't jump right right into human testing in case something goes wrong. So animal testing is the only option. It's a necessary evil.

OT: Sounds like a good idea for married couples or people who are in committed relationships, situations where you know your partners sexual health. But in my opinion, if you're going to boink a stranger and have a one night stand then a condom is a must, because you never know what that person might be carrying.

I dunno if I'd use it, at least when it's first released.

Anything that affects the little guys needs some serious testing (on other people) before I'll give it a go.

Pssshhh I don't need no pills to not have kids

I invented nano-bots that go inside my junk and destroy my sperm

......they kinda look like Wall-e wearing sunglasses dual-weilding the models from Modern Warfare 2......

This doesn't deal with the prevalence of casual sex, and in fact practically encourages it.
(Sex with no consequences? (except STDs) What are you going to say?)

Men don't need dead sperm, they need very alive sperm and to fully accept the consequences of their shitty mistakes.
I don't understand. If someone takes the pill, they are being responsible (at least for the 'having children' part of the equation)-why are you telling them to 'accept the consequences of their shitty mistakes' then?
Okay, I didn't really explain it that well.
A pill that takes away the consequences, so you can go sleeping around all you want, none of them will get pregnant.
So if over time the body builds up a resistance to the pill and the sperm don't die, all of a sudden all the casual sex comes back to haunt you.
Or if you forgot your tri-monthly pill.

We don't need anything else encouraging this sort of behaviour, we need people to wear condoms or deal with the consequences of not doing so.

(Just as an aside, I bet the feminists will find some way of objecting to this. I'm not sure how yet but I'm sure they can manage it)

I spelled animals as "aminals" to imply joking/sarcasm, you robots.
Ah, my apologies then. I thought it was just a typo and feared that you were one of those PETA nutcases.

This is perfect! Assuming it's tested alot and doesn't come back to bite me in the ass. Condoms really do subtract from the experiance, and with some women wary about the pill due to the (slight in most cases) side effects then why can't I take this pill if im willing to deal with the effects on my body?

Like others on this thread, I question the "no side effects" claim.

I'll wait until human trials have been done before I even consider it.

Does it prevent STDs? No? Then condoms will suffice.

Fucking brilliant, they need to do extensive research on long term effects though. For all we know in 100 years people'll be sterile. =P
