Space cops quickly arrive at the sound of decree. No man is above the law, even the Mall's master.

They politely request you reconsider.

After wandering the store for a while, I eventually settle on a suitable outfit and a few hundered dollars (paid in cash) later, I walk out with my new clothes. The white shirt baring rarity's cutiemark has returned, though now it is paired with a pair of purple suspenders as well, a similarly white overcoat compleating the ensemble. I keep the jeans I have, though on the way back to the group I stop at the laundromat to wash the red and blue bloodstains out. "So, what's going down now eh?" I ask, walking up to Salt and Trilby.

 

[Saltarius]

"It's all in jest, my authorative friends. Oh, and by the way, I've cut your funding. Needed it to build some new schools. You understand."

The officers do not understand. Youngsters have always been educated at the age of 2, and receive specialized training for their allotted roles at 5. Most of the Mall's funding is already spent on education.

"Changing times, my friends. In the meantime, I suggest you find other employment options. I'll handle the law personally. And as one favor I ask, look into the names Aradia Megido, Sister, and Xotnitram."

Your decree will require judiciary review before it is taken into effect. Constitutionality is serious business.

Aradia Megido is a local celebrity, whose great deeds have been admired by all for quite some time. Her death in the Civil War of 5432 was indeed tragic. May her soul rest in peace.

The woman known as "Sister" is the current leader of the Mall's Resistance Party, which has instigated said war in acts of terrorism. She was the one responsible for Megido's death.

There are no files on a "Xotnitram". It is likely he has not existed in this, or any other timeline.

The officers are surprised you have asked them these questions. Megido and Sister are important characters in current events, both of whom you have had direct dealings with.

 

[Saltarius]

"Would you mind telling me what 'events' have transpired between myself, Ms. Megido and Sister? Also, call up my secretary. Tell her to set up a meeting with Sister. We've got important things to discuss. As for judiciary review, only time will tell if it'll pass."

 

[ShindoL Shill]

"This terrorist organisation... do you know how they recruit new members? You know, so I can put a stop to it." I ask, waving JUST1C3 around judicially.

I sit on a bench, listening to the conversation. Resistance group eh? Sounds cool. Salt just got over the idea that he was a leader of Gashog, even when he clearly wasn't, and now he has control of an entire universe? Not cool. In any case, I step up, and ask the officer,
"Excuse me, but do you have anything note about someone called, Vriska Serket?"

I get up in the courtroom after two days of being unconscious.
They must have left me to die.
I walk out a door, look around for awhile, and begin walking towards the police station I got in the standoff with awhile ago in.

I wonder what I was in this society....
Remembering how showing them a badge I found in one of my pockets made them stand down before.

Your secretary readies your appointment. However, Sister requests you meet in Resistance territory, as per rules of engagement.

The Resistance party is operated like any other modern political party. Only with more guns. Anyone can join.

Vriska Serket is... Huh, that's strange. Her file is missing.

Oh well. With billions of people to take care of, it is difficult to keep track of EVERY SINGLE ONE.

I head to my meeting with Sister, greeting various members of the Resistance as I walk by. Don't want to get on their bad side while here. I sit down at a table one of their members insists is the meeting place.
