I take one last wistful look at the picture in my wallet.

"I'm coming. Sis, look after Gideon while I'm gone."

 

[Knife-28]

Knife arrives at the tall imposing gates that mark the entrance of the Labyrinth Quater. He sits down, and waits for Salt to arrive.

 

[Saltarius]

I pull up by Knife in a beaten up taxi. I hand the driver his pay and step out.

"How far we've come, old friend. We hated each other back on Gashog, and now we're working together to save my wife. C'mon, let's go."

 

[Knife-28]

"Yes well, time makes fools of us all dosn't it." Knife says with a chuckle as he and Salt enter through the gate. After a few steps, the light leel starts to fade, and the dull smell of dust reaches their noses.

 

[Saltarius]

"Doubtless you've heard the 'news'. Do you...really think I'll have to kill her?"

"Hello? Sis? How's Gideon doing?"

Nega Trilby and I start arming ourselves.
"So, what's your plan?"
"We force Salt to kill Aradia, if he doesn't do it willingly."

 

[Knife-28]

"Knowing Xot and his whole tightassness towards you and Aradia's marrage, I wouldn't put in past him."

You notice Gideon crawling over Sister's face.

I look at the long dashboard that stretched the lengthof the room I'm in. Thousand of buttons.
"One of these has to open a path to Aradia..."
I close my eyes and pick a button at random.
There is a metallic screeching, and a loud clang from somewhere in the maze of tunnels.
Somewhere, a tunnel fills with lasers.

 

[Paddy the Second]

I stroke my chin. "What do you think he meant by pet psychopath? Zombie works for himself. Could it have been me?" I look over the control desk. "Bring up the tracking function. Then we'll go to Aradia."

Nega Trilby and I start driving to Salt's house.
"Wait a minute, Sister is there!"
"That's why I'm bringing Oppression."

I bring up Tracker, and narrow the search query to 'Trolls/Female'
Nothing.
I search another level.
Still nothing.
I widen the search area to encompass all 70,000 levels of the Labyrinth.
No sign of Aradia.
"Negacorp must have her somewhere else..whcih means that this is a trap for Salt..."
I get on the phone, only to find it doesnt have a sim card or battery.
After throwing it against a wall, I sit and make me and Paddy smoothies.

 

[Paddy the Second]

"Fuck." I dial up Salt. "Aradia's not here, Sig thinks it's a trap, they're keeping her somewhere else."

 

[Sigma Castell]

A hatch opens in the ceiling above Salt, and a Grub falls out.

I stare at the cameras feed.
"...what possible use could that serve?"

 

[Knife-28]

"..."
Knife pokes Grub-Karkat.
"What in the flying, everloving fuck is he doing here?"

 

[Sigma Castell]

I ring Knife.
"I. Have. No. Shitting. Clue."

 

[Paddy the Second]

"So this Negacorp. Jeeze these guys get more serious with every instance. Sig, find their address, I've got someone on the inside."
