That's a pretty decent fire, though it does nothing to warm the freezing room. In the back, you can see a small metal object reflecting the light.

The piano works well. The sound it gives is beautiful, though some of the keys are worn and off pitch. Perhaps something will happen if you played a few chords, or pushed them all at the same time?

No no no this won't do at all.

If this piano has a lock, then there has to be a specific melody. There must be sheet music somewhere.

I search around for some sheet music and luckily find some on the bench next to the fireplace. Returning to the piano, I sit down, crack my knuckles and....still play like complete and utter shit, due to me never learning how to play the piano. It's at this point I realise that I'm not bound by point and click adventure game rules, and bust open the piano with a crowbar.

With the piano in splinters, and still no sign of anything inportant, I use the fire poker to try and fish out the glintting metal thing in the fireplace.

Really, it took that long to write 'It's a key!'?
I pocket the key and exit the room. I then walk over to the furthest door to the left of the staircase and open it to see what's inside.

Yes.

The handle turns, but the door refuses to budge. Something is blocking it from the other side.

One door left.

I shrug, and check the last door. I grip the heavey brass knob and turn, slowly pulling open the door.
Look both ways, forshadowing?

Your attempts to pull open the door fail miserably. You have no choice but to push it open instead.

This looks like the master bedroom. Quite meticulous, and plenty of shiny objects to look at.

You find a very handsome suit in the chest of drawers. You can easily tell it is too small for you.

The bookshelf has books... A lot of books.

The desk is locked. The key looks like it fits.

I decide to pocket the sheet music, and slowly walk over to the cuboard and quick pull open the doors.

You hear muffled cries on the other side of the wall. It sounds like a woman's voice, gagged. You step into the closet and quietly close the door behind you.

You are now in the closet.

You push aside a row of coats and put your ear up to the wall. The woman is crying, and footsteps pace around the room. Her voice stays near the middle of the room, and you can assume there are at least two people on the other side.

The footsteps walk to one side of the room and stop. The woman panics, and you can hear her trying to pull away from restraints. The footsteps quickly walk up to her, and you can hear a blade swipe across her face.

You feel the wall with your hands. It feels solid, but you can slide it to the right if you put your back into it.

You spot a panel with a small knob to your left. You think it is small enough to look through without being spotted.

The footsteps walk behind the woman.

What will you do?
