I open the door to the torture room and step out back into the ruined castle. I look over my shoulder and see that the room I just left is now a study. A roaring fireplace sits in one corner, surrounded by a quartet of soft looking armchairs. A small leather-bound journal is sitting on the table and I pick it up and skim through it. It seems to be written by Sabrina?s father, and describes how her mother becomes a heavy drinker, and not a nice one either, judging from he describes her bouts of drunken violence. I flick to the last page, and read the entry.
Blast, I finally decide to try and leave with Sabrina, let my wife rot her with her bloody booze I say, but no, fate see?s it fit to send a blizzard to lock us inside. While we have plenty of supplies to weather the storm, I?ve already voiced my intentions to leave to Katherine, and while she?s ?drinking away her anger? (HAHA!) as she puts it, I have no doubt she will try something, I just hope she doesn?t go too far like last time??
The journal stops that, and I place it back on the table. As I turn to leave, I notice that the false closet is open. I step through it to the bedroom, promptly slipping over on my ass. I cough, and see that bedroom is in ruins, a dead man (Whose blood I seem to have slipped on) is laying on the floor clutching a razor, a ragged hole in his chest. One trail of blood leads to a locked box, and another trail leads back to the lobby, and I see it leads to the living room. My vision blurs, and I find that the castle has been restored. I hear giggling, but ignore it as I walk into the living room and see that the piano restored. ?Oh, it?s going to me like that is it.? I mutter, before remembering Sabrina. I walk Back over to room and find her playing with some dolls.
?Um Sabrina, do you know how to play the piano at all??
?Sure, my mommy used to teach me all the time.?
?Could you see if you can play this for me?? I ask, handing her the sheet music I picked up earlier.
?Of course I can, this was the first song I learned to play!? She beams, and runs past me to the living room. I follow her just in time to hear her start to play. After a few bars, one of the sides opens, a key laying inside. I remembering the box, I pocket the key and turning to leave, making it halfway across the lobby before realizing Sabrina is following me.
?Sabrina, could you not follow me.? I ask her.
?Oh, please can I, it?ll just be until my parents get back.?
I sigh, and crouch down to look her in the eye. ?Sabrina, look, your parents?.your parents aren?t going to get back.?
?Wha, what do you mean??
?Sabrina, your parents are?dead?
Her eyes go wide, and she seems to realise that blood splattered on my overcoat.
?Their?dead, you murdered them?!?
?What, no I-? The rest of my sentence is cut off as she punches me in the crotch, hard, and runs off while I lay winded on the floor. I stand after a few minutes, and enter the bedroom again, the castle shifting back to its old state. Taking care not to slip again, I go over to the box on the table and unlock it, removing a strange glowing heart thing from within. I carefully slip it in my pocket and walk out, seeing the bleeding man laying down in the foyer again. Using my grappling hook, I lower myself down. I approach the bleeding man and turn him over, reeling back in shock when I find my own face staring back at me. Other me has a bloody hole on his chest, and I take out the glowing heart thing, which is now beating a steady beat. I look from the heart, to other me, then back to the heart, and with one thrust, push the glowing heart inside other me?s chest.
Nothing happens for a few moments, then I hear a beating sound, that starts growing louder and louder. A sudden pain racks my chest, and I look down to see my own heart glowing brightly. Another spasm of pain travels through my chest, and my heart glows intensely bright, before dimming and exploding. I fall over, dead.
