The burning turns to a sudden electric jolt.

 

[Saltarius]

"Ah shit!"

I clutch my chest in pain.

"Wh-What the hell's going on?"

You are hit with another, stronger jolt. Your heart stops. You fall dead to the floor.

You wake up in the Mall.

 

[Saltarius]

"What the hell did you do?"

"I didn't do anything. You left. Your respawn matrix brought you back."

 

[Saltarius]

"So you won't even let me find her myself, is that it? Your fucking schedules and plans dictate what you do instead of common fucking compassion? You and your boss, everyone that you work with, all that you stand for...it disgusts me. Have a wonderful fucking evening."

"Wait wait, if that's true why didn't mine do that when I left my mall?" I ask, causing Knife to spit out his drink. "You what?" He asks me in surprise.
"My respawn matrix didn't take me back to my Mall." I repeat to Knife, "Through, maybe it's because I had executive access or something." I shrug.
"Wait, so your not from this mall."
"Yea."
"And you were in a position to have 'executive access'."
"Well, I did run the place."
Knife's jaw drops a good 6 centimeters.
"What, I thought I told you all this already."
Knife shakes his head in disbelief and I turn to Xot, "Well, I don't see why we're leaving without Sister honestly."

 

[RaNDM G]

"Higher clearance. Makes sense."

 

[Saltarius]

"Whoa whoa, it's not just that Xot. She hasn't returned like I did, meaning you turned her matrix off."

 

[RaNDM G]

"That's not my call. Sister's a free agent. They have no reason to keep her confined."

 

[Saltarius]
