I say we hold a conference. One in which someone not retarded demonstrates what is okay when it comes to chill'un.
"'Kay, see how I'm pointing a camera at this fully clothed child? This is okay............*snap* *snap*, good job Timmy you can go sit down now. Hmm, you there, little Lucy, come here. Now strip.....uh huh, okay good, now bend over.....Good. See how I'm sticking my penis in her? This is bad.....good job Lucy, you can sit down now to...It may hurt for a while. Now, did everyone here see the difference, or do I need to demonstrate again?"

Wow, I had totally missed that one.
Sometimes the freedoms of like-minded, decent people have to be curtailed because of a few others.
Someone beat that ***** with a tire iron please. Maybe they should ban baseball bats since they've been used in murders too? (Considering England's track record, that is probably not that unthinkable). Hell, might as well shut down the internet since some wackjobs use it to commit crimes.

How 'bout this?
Like possibly when Daniel Radcliffe got naked and had a bunch of older women leering at him? They called it art, I believe. Flip the genders, it's sexist, demeaning, insulting and inexcusable.

Personal observation:

I'm a white man. It's physically impossible (Or at the very least, inadvisable) for me to make eye contact with *anyone*. It's resulted in a guy threatening to set his dog on me. It's resulted in teenagers throwing iceballs at me from across the street, and challenging me to fights while surrounding me as I walk in an attempt to intimidate me (One tried getting in front of me to bar my way, I barged into him as I walked and knocked him off-balance as a result -- he didn't seem to feel he was at fault for anything).

If I make eye contact with men, I get insulted and attacked (Not that the insults don't happen anyway -- I usually seem to get heckled by idiots driving by in cars) or glared at as if I'm some kind of psychopath. I daren't make eye contact with women or children, in case I end up accused of being a pervert, rapist and/or pedophile. It's just not worth the hassle.

Too bad you can't sue someone for merely implying that you're a pedophile, eh?
That and false rape accusations seem to be the worst, from what I've read. The man's name is *immediately* released to the public for vigilante justice to commence. Even if proven innocent by the court, that man's life and reputation are absolutely ruined. But the "girl who cried rape"? She tried to ruin a life -- why doesn't she get the same sentence she tried to get an innocent man stiffed with?

It's the same reason men get harsher sentences -- male criminals are criminals, female criminals are victims and must therefore be comforted. At the worst, it seems, they get psychiatric attention.

Headline comparison time:

"Male teacher has sex with student."

Result? Absolute. Bloody. Uproar. Every Middle Englander comes out of the woodwork to complain to their favourite tabloid about how the evil man deserves to be hanged.

"Female teacher has sex with student."

Result? "Where were teachers like her when I was at school?" Absolute. Bloody. Whitewash.

For giggles, read The Sun and look for references to paedophiles, The Daily Mail for reference to illegal immigrants or this choice snippet from the BMP leaflet that fell through my door this morning
"Asylum seekers carry a new type of AIDs that lowers house prices." -- Frankie Boyle, Mock the Week (Subject: The ultimate Daily Mail headline)

Sure!

We can watch the downfall of humanity from my window!
I'll bring cream soda, and some easy listening.
Afterwards we can loot humanity's stuff and blame it on society.

Some week ago I started subscribing to a guy named TTT1776 on Youtube, and he discusses some quite interesting stuff and uploads every day if possible with content varying from gaming to programming and open-source, etc, to world politics and such.

That being said, he posted an interesting video on February 26th, where he explained how a man in the UK had been accused of being a pedophile when he took a picture of his son riding one of those roundabout trains. Apparently some stupid mall guard overreacted, called the police, and the poor guy almost got arrested for taking a picture of his own son. The police arrived, tried to force him to delete the pictures and the whole situation was plain stupid.

This happened in Sunderland, UK.

As he says in the video, what do you think this says about society? Have we gone so far in the masculine/feminine separation process with Barbie, action toys and shit so that it's wrong for a father to spend time with his kid, let alone to be accused for being a pedophile, as if it isn't normal for men to spend time with their kids? Do you think that the security guard did the right thing, or did he step over the line?

He should have beat the shit out the guard tbh. This makes me completely lose faith in society.

Yeah, here in Finland the news told that many pupils have answered to some investigation that they have been sexually harassed by teachers.

Turned out that even things like a pat on the shoulder could count. Many probably just thought something like "He touched my arm, I think that counts".

I think children (and according to this thread some adults too) should be educated about these things properly, because saying something like "If someone touches you in a way you don't like, He's a pedophile" could make someone think that a handshake is a sexual assault.

Well, probably not, but you get the idea.

I see a massive flaw here.
The main being that the guy could have proved that was his son. I mean, the kid would have gone up to him and said "hi dad" or something.

Maybe people are that stupid, but instead of straight out arresting a guy, why not ask him questions first? Like "Hello sir, why were you snapping pictures of that child" "Oh that's my son!" Then the polive officer could have went about his business.

What happened to the son when the policeman was arresting the father? Great, let's leave the kid alone so a real pedo could come get him.

Solid plan.

Things, even if it wasn'this kid, it's not fucking illegal to take pictures of a child. If he was masturbating or something at the time maybe I could understand. But I can't believe those cops. It's not illegal, he could sue them for abusing their authority. this sicken's me.

I blame the Government here personally. If you're a law abiding, white male with a job and pay taxes, you're gonna get accused of been every type of sicko under the sun and get every penny you earn squeezed out of you, while the law breakers and general scum of the country go on abusing kids, robbing people, and generally dragging the country to its knees on tax payers money.
OT.
I hope this guy takes it further and that security guard gets a ear full from his bosses,he was way out of order.

Security guards get bored. Cops get bored.
Besides that I remember reading about an experiment a little while ago. They took two groups of people and set them up as prisoners and guards. Within days the guards were forcing the prisoners to humiliate themselves and beating them. After the experiment they were shocked at their behavoiur.
Power does weird things to people, they like to excercise it.
I have that book. Loads of other weird experiments in there as well...

OT: the security guard just overreacted to an entirely innocent situation.

Apparently the majority of people were more receptive to taking orders to the dudes in white lab coats.
Oh, don't you start acting like you've never been ordered to murder someone by a guy in a lab coat and had to do it. We've ALL been there.
He was wearing an official looking coat!
