Who was the Joker in Under The Red Hood? A different kind of Joker, but I thought it was played pretty good.

anyways...

Wasn't it the same guy who played Bender on Futurama?
Not just Bender, but Shnitzel from Chowder and Marcus Fenix / Franklin / KR-64 Pilot from Gears of War (at least the '06 version.)

His name is John Di Maggio by the way.

Sad days. Mark Hamill is an epic Joker, I envy that I will never be able to laugh the way he did. Having grown up with the voice it just kinda stuck, I respect a lot of the different incarnations/interpretations of the Joker but for me Hamill is the one that sticks even when I read the comics, I read it in his voice. Then again all good things must come to an end and noone wants to do the same thing all their lives.

Not just the best Joker but one of the best voice actors around, it's quite obvious in his performances that he really enjoyed playing the Joker.

It was also announced as Kevin Conroy's swan song as the voice of Batman. The end of an era of awesomeness.

He is the Mel Blanc of the modern age. And I mean that seriously. I don't know of any other voice actor with such a range of voices, except for Mel Blanc himself.
And Billy West.

I think I remember hearing about this when they were talking about Arkham City a long time ago, this still makes me very sad.

He was an awesome Joker and everyone else that tried to do the voice failed to measure up to it.
Yep. We've known it was going to be his last hurrah as the Joker since the game was announced. It's still sad. There is only one other joker that measures up for me, and he died of a drug overdose immediately after filming finished.

Many people will remember Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker.

I'll always remember him as one of the best damn voice actors ever.

Well at least we have John DiMaggio as a replacement. Seriously, he was awesome as The Joker in Under The Red Hood.

I suppose this means he's going to be scaling back his voice acting in general now.

People always joke that all the actors from Star Wars had their careers killed, but I've come to believe that Mark Hamill kept on rising -- and did it in his own way.

Meh. I preferred Heath Ledger anywa... DAMN IT!!
Seriously though, I thought Ledger's depiction of the Joker was possibly the best performance in history.

Well shit, that sucks. He is a fantastic voice actor, and his work as the joker is top tits. His will certainly be hard shoes to fill.

If Hamill is out, I hope that John DiMaggio is the replacement. He's the only guy I can think of who can compare. He's not the best Joker, but he is the best for a replacement.

Hmm, apparently Cesar Romero has been dead for 7 years. So much for that idea.

And with that we lose the best rendition of the Joker ever. I look forward to experiencing his last roll in Arkham City next month.

Considering the Arkham games will be continuing...I'm curious who they'll get to voice Joker going forward. Or will they just let other villains take the spotlight going forward.
