Mass Effect 2 : Favourite and most hated team members.

Well if I have to pick one favourite and one least favourite...

Favourite: Thane. Why? He's an assassin, he has an awesome voice, he's really helpful in combat, he has a really interesting back story...what's not to like?

Least Favourite: Tali. I hate her so much, mainly her voice. If she was mute I would be fine with her, shes always a ***** when she has something to say to me and I only ever used her in the last mission

because I thought she would die if she crawled through the vents to unlock the door.

Although I really wish I could have had Wrex in my party. I put a lot of effort into making sure he survived in ME1.

My favorite was Mordin. He's hilarious and his powers are very useful. His Gilbert and Sullivan song had me in stitches.

I don't care much for Jacob though. A bit copy paste.

Absolute Favorites:
Garrus: Great charicter, Has a sense of humor without going overboard with it.
Tali: Like someone above me said she almost seems like a younger sister in the way she acts
Legion: Suprisingly deep charicter for being a robot he also gives interesing information on the geth
Mordin: I like the way he talks, fast but understandable, Hes a "Hampster on coffee".

I realy didnt hate anyone on the team.

Seems I'm almost the flipside of OP.

My least favorite character, and the only one that I actively dislike, is Miranda. I got off to a bad start with her when she told Jacob "I'm never wrong. You should know that by now" and she never stopped trying to take charge of the mission, never stopped thinking about herself for long enough to consider the real implications of her actions. I really enjoyed the part of her loyalty mission when the merc boss called her out on the whore clothes.

Hard to say who my favorite character is. I think I can narrow it down to Garrus and Tali. They're rather complex, three-dimensional characters (with nice voices haha) whose actions are defensible and understandable. I don't know, maybe I just like the characters who are a bit flawed and vulnerable.

Favorite party members? Wrex. Oh wait... damn... um... Definitely Garrus and Tali. Moreso for the ME1 camradrie than anything else. Plus, they're the only two characters that Shepard would know well enough to really trust them not to shoot him in the back. And they talk about the elevators.

Mordin is probably interchangable with either of them. He sings, he cures, he kills, he does it all! How can you go wrong with the very model of a scientist salarian?

Legion is fantastic, but I never use him outside of a mission involving synthetics. Although taking him to the Citadel is a blast, especially when Anderson calls him your "trophy-bot" which made my cry laughing. Also, taking Legion on Tali's loyalty quest is worth it in EVERY way.

Least favorite? Probably Miranda or Jack. They've both got too many psychological issues. I had a hard time caring about anything they said. With Miranda she just bitches about being perfect and how life is so hard for her and blah blah blah. Jack just likes to do bad things to people. She just seems like too much of a petulant child to be relatable. If BioWare had made her story more interesting, by you know, allowing you to help reform her or something, I don't think I would have hated her so much. I never used her outside of her loyalty quest. Ever.

And I don't really have a problem with Jacob. But then I never disliked Kaidan. They both come off as stand-up guys with strong moral convictions. Although I have to admit, I got pissed when the game wouldn't let me get loud and spill some drinks on the Citadel with Jacob.

Grunt is, well, he's Grunt. Wrex is the wise, experienced, hilariously awesome krogan badass. Grunt is still figuring out who he is. Zaeed's only redeeming factor is his accent. That's it. Thane is sort of like the Altair of the group. Mysterious and good at killing people. Samara is well, I don't really care either way.

I definitely loved the minor characters more in ME2. The engineers are my bffs.

Least Favorite (Character wise) Grunt and Garrus: Grunt because all he ever talks about is killing me or someone else and how he finally gets what it's like to be a Krogan etc etc. I just don't enjoy talking to him.

Favorite Character: Mordin. You wouldn't tell it by looking at him, but he is a pretty funny guy and he won me over when he sang.

Favorite Combat Character: Jack. Once you fully upgrade her biotics, she becomes a really powerful character to have on your side and she would destroy almost all infantry units. Leaving me to deal with the important stuff.

Least Favorite combat character: Zaeed. Most people won't know him unless they download the free content for Mass Effect, but Zaeed isn't all that great. He's armed with an Assualt Rifle and a Sniper, but has no real upgrades other then Inferno Gernades and ammo powers and I'd rather take Garrus when dealing with shielded enemies.

Hate is a strong word. That's why I can't say I really hated anyone.
As a least favorite, I'd say Jacob made the cut. I'm OH SO HAPPY he died at the end. I actually felt relieved.
Hard to choose absolute favorites but if I'd have to choose, Thane, Tali and Legion are my absolute favorites.

Thane is the galactic version of agent 47 but with an infinitely more interesting back story (i also romanced him >.>)
Tali... She's a space gypsy! Having her around is very entertaining. Especially since she seems so young.
Legion... do i really have to say why he's awesome?

Also, a special award for the joker/EDI duo!

Jack: I'M ANGRY AND COMPLICATED IN A VERY SHALLOW WAY!

Zaaed: Don't have Xbox live.

Samara:I AM A ROBOT, I HAVE LESS EMOTION THE LEGION BEEP BOOP

Mornith: CRAWLING IN MY SKIIIIIIIIIIN!

Grunt:I'm angry! I like punch things!

Thaneotentially interesting but not expanded upon enough to really care.

Tali: I'm desperately trying not to shout "Muslims in space!" But I actually like tali. Out of all the girls on the ship she is the only likable one. A bit whiny but something tells me she's the only one who would cuddle afterwards. Jack would shank you and miranda would *****.

Mordin:Funny almost constantly, underused unfortunately, brought him on almost every mission

Garrus: Not overtly funny, but alot of stuff revolving around him is. The "seducing" scene with him is actually quite hilarious. Other lines, like when entering the diseased slums ("Why don't we ever go anywhere nice?") are giggle worthy.

Legion:Very neat idea and character, but is underused and only shows up near the end. Hope he gets more time in ME3

Joker:Everytime I talked to him he said something genuinely funny. I really hope he takes a bigger part ME3

Kelly:SUNSHINE AND LOLLYPOPS! Bland.

Favorites: Garrus leads by a wide margin. After his recruitment and loyalty missions that guy felt like a brother to me, and on top of that he was excellent in any fight. Legion was also fantastic to talk to - out of all the aliens you meet in the game, Legion by far feels the most 'alien'.

Disliked: Jack did not impress me. She was just a cranky ***** who never really seemed important enough to be on my ship - why didn't I just go find another asari? All the biotics and none of the crazy. Perhaps she'd have been more fleshed out if I had invested in her romance option, but it was just not worth it. If she wasn't so good in a fight I would never have bothered with her.

Least: Grunt and Jacob.
I am an adept so both combos work.

I always liked Tali for some reason, not sure why. Garrus is a close second since he has his flaws and can sometimes disregard ethical constraint, but always means well. My least favorite would be Jack. I didn't really hate her, but she did disturb me greatly. I don't count Zaeed, since he was clearly tacked on.

I don't know, maybe I just like the characters who are a bit flawed and vulnerable.

My guess is that you like characters that could exist in real life, personality wise anyway. Seriously, does anybody know a flawless, invulnerable person that exists?

Favourite (Character) - Tali. I love the voice, the character, the romance, the loyalty quest. Easily the most likeable character in the game. Also, both faithful to the original ME1 character but at the same time shows growth. Second place goes to Garrus for being awesome!

I completely agree - Tali was great in the first game and they've really done a great job with her return in the second, and I've always had a soft spot for the Quarians as a race - their the underdogs of that Universe.

For my 2 favourite runners up - Mordin, because he's insane and funny, and Garrus because they bring back his character and improve apon it.

As for my squad, it depends on what class I'm playing - Tali is useful most of the time with the drone and shotgun, then either a biotic (Miranda typically) or combat character (Grunt or Garrus).

About the only characters I don't like are Jacob and Jack. Jacob because, really, he seems pretty plain and uninteresting. Jack because she's a right ***** - though she seems well designed to be a right *****.

Least favourite: All of them. I WANT WREX

Although so far, I went out of my way to make sure I got Garrus and Tali first. Garrus' weapons and Tali's tech abilities seem to blend well with my vanguard Shep. Plus I loved both their characters in the first game, so it's nice to see them get expanded upon now.

Still... I wanted Wrex to go fuck his home planet and join me on my journey.

Least favourite: Mordin. Goddammit, I want to rip his mouth off. Does he ever shut the hell up?

Favourite(s): In no order
1. Jack. She's just really badass, and she does have a sensitive side to her. Her attacks kick ass and... She's just so badass!
2. Tali. Tender, sweet, awesome. Her power are great (AI hacking has helped me out of some sticky situations)
3. Garrus. He seems like a real pers- well, Turian. His and Shepard's back and forth dialogue seems like things that friends would actually say. Not to mention that he really knows how to use his rifle.

Favorite: Legion. C'mon, you can't resist the "Shepard Commander." He's pretty much the antithesis of Jack's personality. Is the embodiment of logic, with little emotion. Exactly what I need to be on my side for this battle against terrible odds: a loyal ally who actually thinks things through and hardly ever bitches about my logical decisions.

Least favorite: Jack, Jack, Jack. So you've got a past. We all do. Stop using it as an excuse to be bitchy all day. Hating Cerberus I can understand, but general unwillingness to see/admit the truth about what happened even when the evidence is staring her in the face is just annoying. Tries to be badass, comes off as selfish ***** instead.

Agree with your comments, though I still like Tali more than Legion But Legion is an awesome Commander Data-type character
