I hate all this platform war crap tbh I hate having to own a ps3 and a 360 in addition to my perferred platform which is the PC to play the games I want.

Games for all platforms I say, surely devs would make more money this way to which would allow them to make better games in the future.

I feel happy for the PS3 gamers now that they have it, but I still kind of feel sorry for you. That comic thing at the beginning will never be able to replace actually playing ME2.

I mean, when the Normandy got destroyed, I actually cried. I doubt many PS3 players had the same connection to her.

Do you know what proof reading is? Seriously, it took me multiple attempts to make sense of you post. Back to the topic, I'm happy Mass Effect came to the PS3 because it's a fantastic game.

I felt cheated due to the games poor quality compared to the first but I'm perfectly happy with games going multi-platform.

I don't think anyone had that kind of connection with the game - I am amazed you managed to find such emotion in what is a highly sterile gaming experience.

These people are the same idiots who get all riled up by the console war. Plus Mass Effect never was an Xbox exclusive, it's been out on the PC forever now.

I have no problem with people playing it on the PS3, its not like I can't still play it on my Xbox. So everyone's happy and we can all enjoy Mass Effect!

You have to keep in mind, I 100%'d the first one around 3 or 4 times, and beat it another 5 or so. I put myself into the game and when the thing with the Normandy happened, it felt as if an old friend had died. (being general to avoid spoilers) Also, "highly sterile gaming experience?" You're going to have to explain that to me.

I've got a feeling the reaction you're describing is from a vast minority or certainly not from the denizens of the escapist. It's a good game and it's nice that PS3 owners will get to try it. The free DLC may be something to complain about, but complaints should go to BioWare instead of PS3 owners in that regard.
Indeed its one of the main reasons I joined the escapist in the first place.
Well I am glad a lot people on here are mature to give a good reason for it.

Well since Mass effect got released on ps3 I was stoked and went crazy to buy it.
But ever since when talking to some others a lot of people seem under the inpression that mass effect should have been a xbox exclusive and bite my head off when I mention it that I was happy since I dont own an xbox.
And a lot feel cheated that it did So I wanted to know if others feel that way or support the ps3 release all the way and why.
at first i was a bit pissed but then i found out metal gear rising was coming to the 360 so no more hard feelings

There There [offers shoulder..... probably gets shot]

OT: I think even the best of us are a little jealous of the fact that you PS3 guys get to play with the Mass Effect 3 version of the Engine (on which ME2 was rebuilt) a full 11 months before we can. I know i am.

Other than that. It's a good game, glad you got to play it.

And yet we still don't have any chance at getting littlebigplanet here on the xbox. What a cruel world.

I'm just guessing but maybe it's that people feel that multiplatform releases don't get the attention to detail during the development process and the end product might be sub-par. I don't know. I'm all for multiplatform releases.

As a ps3 owner who'd played and beat both 1 and 2 already on the 360 I was glad to finally play the games on my console of choice. I understand that exclusives exist to help differentiate the consoles but if I'm a third party developer and my game is huge on one system I'm going to release it on the others. I've always liked when a good game got released on the other platforms more people get to play it theres no reason for all the hate.

I can see the connection then, though what I mean by "highly sterile gaming experience" is that the game lacks emotion, is overly clean/robotic with its animations and characters; in all I'm implying the game lacks an emotional edge ["the virus of emotion" leads into the sterile metaphor] due to its core design, writing and character design.

Fanboys will always rant over things being not exclusive to whatever the hell console they own (and make love to).
Why don't we all be mature and accept the fact that xbox 360 and ps3 are pretty much the same quantity of awesome, but that's as likely to happen as snow in the Sahara desert.

More people get to enjoy a great game. I'm all for it.

People need to stop feeling like they're entitled to have the game for themselves and no one else.
