As was stated earlier, there's multiple choices for who to send into the vents, who to lead fire teams, and who to put up the barrier. And why in blazes does everyone take Garrus into the final battle, he's not that impressive against Collectors and the final boss!
BECAUSE HE'S GARRUS GODDAMN VAKARIAN THAT'S FUCKING WHY.

Anyways, I'd try 'n offer advice so as to help, but others have given adequate information regarding the party you should be using already, so yeah. Good luck with that.

Then maybe i should warn you

Garrus...got Killed by the Swarm...with Mordin...Sorry...he died by my God awful Decisions

This, a thousand times this. Delete that file, create a new Shepard (maybe even as a class or outlook you haven't tried before), get those freaking upgrades, and then check out this page: http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/No_One_Left_Behind_Achievement_Guide to see how you can bring everyone alive and kicking into ME3.

Yeah. Pretty much it's all about upgrades. Each character has a toughness rating. Jack, Mordin and Tali are squishy and so are bad on the lines, and if you send them to hold the line at least one of them will die. The Drell, Miranda, legion and Samara are moderate, while Grunt, Jacob and Zaeed are super frigging tough and they will lock the mobs down while you fight.

Each character also has a leadership, technology and biotic rating. Jack and Samara are terrible leaders, but they're awesome biotics. Garrus is moderately tough, decent at tech, and a very good leader. Miranda has awesome biotics, good leadership and kinda bad tech. Jacob is a good leader, has no tech but has decent biotics (he's also the all-around gimpiest party member you've got). The Drell is a decent leader, has decent tech, and decent toughness; he's a perfect all around. Mordin has decent tech, no biotics, and poor toughness- but he's awesome in a fight when he's with you, so you either send him back to the ship or take him with you. Tali's the best tech you've got, she's a poor leader, and has no biotics at all. Grunt is a terrible leader, has no tech but he laughs off the pain.

In total, your best bet is to have Tali or Legion in the vents; Garrus, Jacob or Miranda lead the second team; Jack or Samara maintain the bubble; Zaed, Grunt and Jacob lock the mobs down while you fight; send Mordin back to the ship (or take him with you), and take Miranda and some other heavy damage dealer to the final boss.

It doesn't have to be that way, though. You can fix that. You can prevent that from happening. It's not as if that failure has to persist. You can overcome and achieve, if you try.

Now hold on, HOLD THE FUCK ON.

Yes you beefed it, many of your crew are dead. But these are your choices, and you should own up to them. Make another game if you will, don't delete the current one. I believe a big part of the game people miss, is your effect on your surroundings.

My first time:
-Thane
-Miranda
-Mording
-Normandy Crew
KIA

I couldn't bare it, so I saved over it and erased my mistakes. But I started thinking about it, I also made mistakes in Mass Effect 1 as well and saved over those files. But my choices WEREN'T my choices; they were perfection strategies, and I have a very heavy belief in personal decisions.

I suggest this only because I made the mistake myself. And if you've already deleted it, repeat the mistakes in another game.

That's my view

Really, though, be honest. Is a ME3 without Mordin, even as just a cameo role, worth playing? I think not.

I say give it another shot, dude. I got ME1 on a whim, and didn't enjoy it to start with. It didn't help that I was again, playing an Engineer, and didn't have the slightest fucking clue of what I was doing. I got to the Citadel and dicked around for a while, but put the game back down. Mostly out of a sense of guilt, I went back to it, and now it's one of my most favorite game series of all time, hands down. Up there with Zelda and the Metroid Prime series.

This game series has a way of getting into your brain, and making you think about it long after you put the controller down. Don't fight it. Just spend all day calculating pi since Joker plugged in the Overlord.

I had 3 people die on my first mission but since they weren't and couldn't be Joker *floaty hearts and sparkly music* not a fuck was given that day. It was basically becuase I picked to do the missions at the wrong time when my paragon wasn't high enough (80%) to solve the kerfuffle between Miranda and Jack and Legion and Tali. You need it for Zaeed if you want to do it the paragon way aswell. I played it through 100% the next time with getting all the upgrades and stuff and everyone lived.

You also have to go straight to Legion when you get returned to the ship. Do not touch the galaxy map because your crew will be kidnapped and you have to go straight through after they are taken to save them all. (Not that anyone cares about Kelly) The whole thing is pretty convoluted tbh. I consider getting that final mission right is harder than the actual gameplay.

I always pay very close attention to whom I send where. My first runthrough My Vent guy couldn't survive and I had all my loyalty missions done and everything. I did it again and was smart enough to send Garrus with my B team and I've never lost a person since. Also make sure to head for the relay as soon as you finish Legion's loyalty mission. My husband rage quit when Kelly died.

Am I the only person who likes her? Though, I will admit that I went with her because I think she has a heck of a lot less than, say, Jack or Tali, of a chance to screw up my options with Ash in ME3. I still miss her. And Horizon just made me pissed at Bioware.

I get this kind of village of the damned vibe from her, shes just too nice. Mind you my favourite character is Joker so maybe I just like sarcastic, spiky people I dunno. I didn't like Kaiden he reminded me of a Anomen out of Baldur's gate 2... My Shepard can only stare at the back of the pilot's chair and be jealous of a damned AI. *RAGE*

No, no it's not. Which is why I have (soon will have) both saves, for hardcore reconciliation, and for hardcore science musicals.

The drell assassin (forgot his name)-OH GOD NO!!!

Tali-CRAP CRAP CRAP

I think i grown Afraid that i might lose another (I hope Grunt, Garrus, Jacob, and that one chick will make it out alive)

I AM HAVING A MENTAL BREAK DOWN ON A FREAKING VIDEO GAME

(Excuse me of my Shity Spelling and Memory, I am Still Tramatized from this)

Please Help
You made choices, you screwed up. Beat the game and try again. OR see how those choices play out in ME3*.

And I agree about Jack. Did not like her.

* - My personal choice. I've screwed some things up too but I'm just gonna roll with it.

My defense on the 'it was your choice' front was that I had no idea how the paragon scores worked so that was an uninformed desicion. Also planet scanning is possibly the most boring thing known to man and if I hear 'Launching probe' again I'm going to fire the M920 Cain into the AI core.

Don't get me wrong, I freaking love Joker. One of my favorite parts of the game is checking in with him after we recruit a new party member. Especially after recruiting Garrus. And the bit about the Overlord is one of the best freaking lines in the whole game.

But I like Kelly because she is a spot of sunshine amidst all the doom and gloom of other people (Samara and Thane can be bad for this) going "We're going to die, and it's all going to suck and we can't win and blah de blah."
