So they've killed Shepard?
So really, they haven't, it's just fun to toy with that idea for purposes of guaranteeing that the game sells to it's already established audience.
It's a typical law to live by: "If, when watching or playing a game or televesion show, a character dies and the body is not clearly visible in any state that beyond shadow of a doubt suggests that the character is dead, then that character is in fact alive."
Very few things in the entertainment industry prove that little piece of philosphy wrong.
So, we'll still get to play Shepard.
At least, that's my guess.

Umm...I mean...intresting.
EDIT: Just to spectualate, I doubt sheperds dead. The whole idea of this trailer is to just cause intreage and confuse and get people excited. The possiblity of him being dead is a great talking point.
Anyway, Bioware has said there allow saved games from the first game to be transported to the second (aka, the decisions you made and your characters stats). I somehow doubt they would go to all this trouble if it was a different character.

they said during the build up to the first one that it would be a trilogy and data from your previous game (eg like who you chose was on the counsel/if there was a counsel) as well as your character's image and stuff would be carried on into the next game though if you had the save data. I'm guessing something like Locutus of borg style assimilation of him to improve him to fight something. needs to get too the place where the other (forgot there name) sentient ship creatures are requires him to die in some way.scnj said:
