Still - I can't wait for the next installment.A video documentary on the Mass Effect Platinum Hits Edition package suggests you'll be able to carry over your character to the sequel.
As well as talking about the new Mass Effect DLC, which is said to be combat orientated 'arenas', there's talk on your character being carried over from the original Mass Effect.
A voiceover in the video states: "Any saved game that you make from Mass Effect 1 you should be able to carry that same character into to Mass Effect 2. You'll be able to take that save game and create a character in Mass Effect 2."
Along with the experience points and relevant Renegade/Paragon levels, your character also had a crucial decision to make at the end of Mass Effect that should have a significant impact on the storyline for Mass Effect 2.

Is that from the Knights of Cydonia video?Espionag3 said:added new image for emphasis
they said during the build up to the first one that it would be a trilogy and data from your previous game (eg like who you chose was on the counsel/if there was a counsel) as well as your character's image and stuff would be carried on into the next game though if you had the save data. I'm guessing something like Locutus of borg style assimilation of him to improve him to fight something. needs to get too the place where the other (forgot there name) sentient ship creatures are requires him to die in some way.scnj said:Holy shit. I suppose not being ale to play as Shepard makes sense, since the game would start with an overpowered character, but holy shit.
