It uses two disks, I approve of that. But does it fully use the two disks, or is the second disk just a few KBs of what couldn't fit on the disk?

There was never any doubt in my mind that ME2 should be obtained. Bioware = WIN!
And if they gona give me 2 dvds to enjoy well. . .thats money well spent :p

I'm guessing there's a lot of cutscenes packed onto those discs
Personally i think they are going to pad this one with useless files just like DAO. The x360 version still had all the high res PC textures on the disk that the xbox couldn't even use because of RAM limitations and the PC version has duplicate medium quality textures, one of which belongs on the xbox among other things.

Or if i allow reality to take over: Odds are it's extra content you have to pay for in order to have bioware change [enabled=0] to [enabled=1].

There. Fixed it for him.

Sorry for being cynic and/or pessimistic. Just my little biased opinion, nothing too important.
How dare an RPG try to have story?
Cutscenes does not equate to a good story necessarily.

For all I know, the developers could be lazy and didn't compress the data, allowing it to span 2 dvds. But hey, I can only make conjectures when the game has yet to be released.

isn't the diferance only 2 or 3 gigs per disk?
Closer to 40 gigs, really. The double sided DVD's ME2 are on can hold 9.4~ gigs, dual layer Blu-Ray which I assume MGS4 came on can hold ~50 gigs.

I like the sound of this more and more.

It does suggest that there will come a point when you can't return to other areas though. That seems to be the suggestion when they say it won't interfere with gameplay.

I always enjoyed changing the disk, especially in RPGs.

am i the only one that wants closure after playing a game's storyline for more then 30 hours?
long stories tend to just end up being the same old rigmarole of go here do this go there do that.

Two discs does not equal more content, just more bloat. Two discs means poorly made! It means it's stuffed with pre-rendered, non-interactive cutscenes most likely. If that's the sort of 'content' they're on about then no thanks, I'll just go and buy a couple of films on DVD for much less money and play games that celebrate the actual game part of themselves.

Back in 'the day' (whenever that is) developers just used to make the existing hardware do more. Look at classics like Elite, a whole universe on a single floppy disk. Ok so it was procedurally generated but still, that's a lot of 'content' for a small storage capacity.
