Firstly, I never used him as a squad member. I was the guy with the heavy duty weaponry, so he was pretty much useless to me...

I also remember putting enough bullets into him to wipe out a small army before attacking the big base thing...

So unless they take that into account in some way, its going to get a little wierd for me o_0

well first of all wrex is dead in lots of peoples games and second give grunt a chance. If there's one thing Bioware does well its develop interesting characters. Im personally glad that most old characters only get a cameo, It makes it seem like they have gone off in their one directions baced on the first games events as well as making room for new characters because the same old would just get boring

I'm still holding out on Garrus coming back as a squadmate or at least an important recurring character. I have proof that assures that one video wasn't the extent of his role in ME2.

Apparently one of the developers hinted Wrex appearing in a cameo, IF something unfortunate didn't happen to him in the first game on your 360.

I'm just stoked that Garrus is in there. Would it be too much to hope that he is recruitable for at least one mission?

Sadly, it looks like Garrus is only getting a cameo. He was my favorite party member, with his "Dirty Harry" rogue cop mentality. You could actually influence him as a character, unlike most of the other party members, and he had an awesome holomonocle.

He and Wrex were pretty much the only guys I actually used.

He is. I saw a video of Shepard and him meeting up again.

OT: ME2 takes places two years after ME and everyone thinks Shepard is dead. They probably separated from each other. I'm pretty sure all the original squad members, who aren't dead, will reappear.

Besides variation is good, and it'll be nice to see other characters in the new one. Would be quite nice to have Tali back though, I liked her.

I have no problem with him, but find that he dwarfs a female Shepard and I can't 'see', myself just Wrex's huge head!
Liara was the most useful party member imo (and Kaiden) especially as the fastest way through that last fight is with a biotic heavy team. I quite liked Tali, but not as much as Liara.

Ah, but having a tech heavy team. Seriously, you're fighting an army of robots, whats more useful than having a set of people who can blow up anything electronic? (I usually have Kaiden on my team at the end to provide biotic support as well though.)

Well, like I said, I do like Tali as a party member she is very effective, in fact for me the most ineffective would be Garrus, not sure why, just don't seem to have any need for that dude at all. My faves are Kaiden, Ashley (how I hate that choice) Liara and Tali (but not in a particular order)

It's giving me a Warrior Within vibe, but I'm still hoping for the best.

They can't include Wrex because there's a huge chance he died in the first game. If you didn't kill him, he probably makes an appearance somewhere in the game and gives you a super-duper special sidequest, just like all the other characters who may or may not still exist.

It's a shame Wrex can't be a party member, but there's not a lot that can be done after letting people kill him off in game one. I'm just happy I have the pure awesomeness that is Tali to look forward to. ^ ^

The information we've been given to date, besides the released videos on the new squadmates, runs something like:

- Garrus will appear, and you have the opportunity to assist him during a law enforcement assault (or something) as a side mission
- A while back, they said that we would be getting a Salarian ally
- Wrex's appearance (probably) will depend on whether or not you blitzed him in the first game. Oh, yeah... spoiler alert.
