Probally cause most people would have killed Wrex in the first game.
Never had him die on me. I either had enough Paragon/Renegade or did his side quest
The point is he was one of three party members in the first game who could perminately die. and bioware is probally too lazy (I'm sure it would take a great deal of time and resources) to make exceptions for each one of those characters.

Wait, no Wrex? Did they remove him because you could have killed him in the first game?

Well, as long as the gameplay is fun, I guess I'm okay.

They pretty much have to have one of either Ash or Kaiden in ME2 just to sell the whole 'consequences' thing. I hope its more substantial than them getting promoted to Colonel or something and being part of cut scenes, it would be awesome to actually have them fighting again.

Point well made. As much as I loved Wrex I didn't take him in my party so I'm kind of indifferent on the matter.

They can't have Wrex as a party member. Keep in mind that some of the players SHOT HIM DEAD at one point in the game, and the decisions from the first game carry over. Designing complex dialogue trees, quests, etc. for a character that may or may not be there is not very efficient.

However, I'm guessing that Wrex will be making an appearance as an NPC, so you'll get to see him.
Hey what about those gamers who let him live (like me I didn't have the heart to shoot the poor nutless bastard or was it because I didn't realize that was even an option?). We should get our Wrex back dammit.

Well you know what this means don't you? Now we have to flood forums whining about it, threaten to boycott it and start a petition. Well at least we will have some controversy to keep us going over the holidays. Wasn't sure what we were going to do with L4D2 boycott shutting down and MW2 launching.

wait...even if you import a save file in which you let wrex live, he still isn't in the sequel?

WHOOP WHOOP BS ALARM!
He is, only not as a party member.
I don't exactly know why, but I think that might be worse than him not being there at all

Granted, Grunt is no replacement (and neither is Subject Zero over Liara), but who cares? I'll be using Shepard, Thane (awesome character) and some random. Probably the Salarian.
Tali and Legion.
TALI AND LEGION.

In fact, I'm shipping that pair.

Has Legion been confirmed as a team character? Last I heard he was still just a plot character (though seeing as they confirmed a Geth ally, it makes sense).

If he is, Thane and Legion are my wingmen.

...Just out of curiosity, why Tali?

Is it wrong to say that I have a crush on Garrus
No.

No, it is not.

Not in the slightest.

Do not even entertain the thought.
Agreed. I was overjoyed when I saw the Mass Effect 2 Garrus reunion video.

If you're going to be like that, then it actually says Mass effect 2 greater than colon parenthesis. Which, it is.

A fantastic arse and a voice one would like to have sex with.
Yes it's an odd metaphor but if you like, imagine the physical act; it's all good.

In fact, here's a previous post on the matter [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/jump/9.147161.3376229].
So, yeah...

200 bucks says Liara's back. they had an entire mission planet for her, while you picked up Wrex, Garrus, and Tali all the first time you visited the Citadel.

I hated Wrex anyway.

There hasn't been a single play through I've had where I didn't blow off his face.

Wrex died in my game.
I was trying to talk him down and Ashley was PMSing or some shit and shot him.
But I was kind of relieved because, although he is very strong during battles, he often got the way.
Not to mention that he completely fucks up cutscenes, which isn't all that important, but still pretty annoying.

I already said why, on the first page. Some people shot Wrex in the face in the first game. It would be really lame if he just suddenly showed up, alive and well. Recording voiceovers, designing quests and all that for a party member that may or may not be there isn't efficient. The same goes for Kaidan and Ashley.

1.) I didn't mean I don't know why they aren't using Wrex, I mean I don't know why I think its worse that he is a supporting character than not there at all
2.) Now that you mention it, that reason makes no sense.
A.) It would be weird if Wrex appears alive and well after killing him, but why is having him appear alive and well as an external character any better than appearing alive and well as a party member?
B.) For you to kill him you would have had to have played Mass Effect 1, in which case you should be able to transfer your save, isn't this the WHOLE POINT of transferring saves? So we can enjoy our previous choices to the fullest without contradictions? Why transfer saves if the game needlessly handicaps us like this?
C.) It's not efficient, but the whole point of these games is that your choices carry over, it would be like Dead Rising saying "The big draw of our game is that is that you can use everything as a weapon, but for practicality, we decided to only include 20 weapons"
