Since everyone of your crew in ME2 can die, I don't think they'll play that much of a roll in ME3.

Bioware will probably just introduce a whole new cast of characters with maybe one or two original crewmembers making a guest appearance.

I hope they bring back the charm/intimidate skilltree, though.
I have to disagree. I am willing to bet there will be plenty of ME2 squad members on your squad. Your squad members never really made a difference so far, except very rarely. Is it so hard to imagine that you may not have a full squad in ME3 if some die in ME2?

You can't even carry over a save if YOU die in ME2!

Also: Only two things.

1. CROUCHING!
2. More RPG elements like the first had.

1. Return of infinate ammo
2. Return of exploration but with a decent vehicle (or just walking)
3. More character dialogue (ME2 took the piss. If you declined someone's advances they hardly said a word to you after. And Zaeed. Fuck you, Zaeed.)
4. Liara to die tragically so i dont have to admit i cheated on her with Tali's hips.
5. Less constrictive leveling
6. Buy or research, not both.
7. On-ship squad leveling.
8. More 5 minute quests
9. Less 60 minute quests
10. Scrap the fuel and probing (worst vestigal feature ever)

Not necessarily. They could easily track who lives and who dies in your imported save.
I hope you're right. It was bad enough losing Wrex. At least they kept my two favorite.
OT:
1.More RPG like most people said.
2.More armor parts.
3.some planets you can go to that enemies respawn on after you leave so you can keep finding places to fight even after you've completed all the assignments and missions.

I want more Reaper Tech!
I want more Geth Tech!
More big guns like The Cain!
More Alliance Restricted guns like Grunt's shotgun!

Ahem...

Better exploration, deeper RPG elements and more varied side quests.
O' yeah, and either do something sensible with the Renegade / Paragon system, or just dump it.

1) I hope to see Ashley return in Mass Effect 3 seeing as how she was my love interest in the first game and since I'm going to all the effort to stay faithful to her the least she can do is show up to be by Shepard's side in the galaxy's final hour of hope.

2) Given that he's now the leader of the Krogan I would very much like to see Wrex return as a significant ally, not neccesarilly squad member but something like what Anderson or Joker was, an NPC with a major role in the story

3) a straight up ending without any of the 'suicide mission' thing because I don't mind having to look up walkthroughs on the internets so that I know how to get through the final level if I only have to do it once. Having to do it again will lose it's appeal.

4) a much more direct approach to storytelling without as much dillying around upgrading ships and such.

5) the ability to lead a joint species army for the final push against the Reapers.

I wouldn't even consider myself a big RPG person but even I thought ME2 was too much shooter and not enough RPG. Compared to the original at least.

But yes back on topic:
More armour customisation options, even if they are just cosmetic add-ons with a mod slot system similar to the original game.
Actions from the first two games actually having some consequences in the third one.
More in-depth skill tree. Fifteen to twenty skills in ME cut down to less than a dozen in ME2 and three of those were ammo types.
Where the hell were you people when I started my "Bioware are Getting Lazy as of late thread"?
I wrote why the game disppointed me and basically got told by everyone on this forum, that the game was perfect and I was nitpicking.
I said it was less RPG like and everybody disagreed. I could have used you people for support!

I'm almost positive that the Quarians are going to be a major part of the next game, and I expect your choices in dealing with the Flotillas desire for war (Talis loyalty mission) will have major ramifications in ME3. Also, it seems they're getting quite a bit of dev love, as I'm pretty sure they're about the only race save Hanar and Volus who you haven't gunned down by this point.

Oh God, what have I started...

Play the game on Insanity... he takes much longer to kill so you hear those damn phrases hundreds of times.

ME2 has been out for a few days and you're already focusing on their next line up?

Ah well...

Bringing back that holy assassin would be nice.

I want to be able to pick and choose from either of my old squads (whoever's alive)

I want planet roaming back

I want my inventory, my old guns, my modding system

And no Down-Loadable Content. I want the whole game, or you can bugger off.

Better Squad AI, for the final battle my two allies just stood there and didnt shoot at anything. They moved to cover and everything, but they just stood there once they got there.
Bring back the different weapons from ME1, make it worthwhile to loot and stuff. I had so many credits by the end of ME2, but i never needed to buy anything.

Yeah I read that, bad times, dude, in the most part I agreed with a few of your points but didn't have time to reply in a way that did justice to my points and people were getting silly defending it, tbh, you can love a game and still have annoyances with it. Sorry I didn't reply! Forgives? :)
