Everything Mentioned plus Conrad Verner taking a shot for Sheppard.

The game is fantastically full of fan wank and I love it for it, also from the DLC, any interaction of Javik with any character on the main playthrough.

I absolutely love the conversations between the squadmates.
There are funny ones, like when Joker and Garrus tell each other jokes or the exchange between Mordin and Joker.
There are interesting ones, like Liara's reaction to Javik.

I also like the stories that the random people on the citadel have, for example the Asari in the Huerta Memorial Hospital talking to the psychiatrist.

Something that just recently happened was, when Garrus invited me to have some fun on the citadel.
At the end when you miss the shot and he says: "I'm Garrus Vakarian and this is now my favorite spot on the citadel." I just couldn't stop laughing. It was an awesome moment.

Yeah, that was a great and sad moment. I had no idea Krogans could write such poetry.

I wished Miranda was actually available as a crew member again.. but the few scenes that did happen between her and my Shep were absolutely excellent. Great, great stuff.

I absolutely loved the scene with the drunk Tali, particularly how she refers to a straw. Anyone who questions Bioware's writing staff just needs to watch that scene.

I'm still playing it (I want to make it last longer than most people), but some of the comments that were a throw back to fan memes and comments were cool:

1) When Jack says to Shepard "Dancing? Everyone knows you can't dance!"

2) When I overheard two Engineers talking about which is better, the Hammerhead or the Mako and one comments on how the Hammerhead's armour was like tissue paper (It's true!)

3) When Garrus says "I'm Garrus Vakarian, and this is my favourite spot on the Citadel!"

Brilliance. It's the little things like that which made me smile the most.

All of these are great, one of my favorites that hasnt been mentioned was sheperd pushing the button on Sur'Kesh over and over and over again. and the Salarian getting pissed off.

I'm loving how much squad interaction there is not only on the Normandy but also in the missions.
Also, slight spoilery question for the story
Anybody know if attacking TIM's base starts the end-game/point of no return missions? I've got the choice to but I want to make sure I'm fully sorted before I do.
It does, so you might want to hold off.
Right, thanks. I'll finish off everything I need to, and just hope that the ending isn't as bad as everyone is making it out to be!
I'm sorry but it is, almost ruined mass effect for me
I didn't like the ending, but it hardly negates 40 hours of pure amazingness.

That reminds me of another thing I love: It took me just as long to beat this as it did the first two games, but there was almost no fluff (Mako, Scanning, etc).
I did say almost, but only 40 hours?

Only? That's par for the course in the series. A thorough playthrough of the first two games takes me about the same amount of time, and they have the Mako stuff and planet scanning to pad the time. Mass Effect 3 is definitely the meatiest of the three.

That's why I said only mass effect 3 would have added more time because it is brilliant until the ending. Plus you had to have made other characters.

Honestly, I loved a whole lot of stuff that they did with this game. All the great crew interactions, all the nods to minor characters/quests from the previous games, all the humor derived from fan in-jokes, the stirring music, the emotional roller-coaster ride they put you on during several points in the game... in all the games I've played over the years, I don't think I've ever found one that made me feel quite so engaged in what was going on.

Did I dislike the endings? Sure. Just like most of the players, apparently. But I'm not going to let the last 10 minutes of the game ruin the incredible experience I'd been having over the many hours before that.

My only real gripe with the game was how much they build up Steve Cortez as this amazing pilot... and yet he never actually does anything particularly amazing. Most of the time he just ends up getting my shuttles damaged.

Steve was a good character though. He and Traynor both were. Did the shuttle get damaged that many times? I only remember the one time at the end.

(Not finished, playing multiplayer to bump up my galactic readiness)

The way they've made me care for these characters. I've cried so much throughout this game. I mean, if killing my favourite characters wasn't enough, they have to add the freaking BEAUTIFUL voice acting. I mean, all of the voice acting was so fucking perfect.

The crew interactions with one another is AWESOME! I hope other game companies take a page for Bioware, because I for one love listening to my crew talk with each other. Garrus and Joker telling each other jokes, Garrus and James one uping each other, everyone with Liara. It's the little things like that, that make the game real to me.

The Thessia after math. Especially with everyone being concerned for Liara, and then Joker being all "Anderson fucking told me to take care of you!" to Shep, that dialogue exchange was wonderful.

Jack. All of her. I loved her before, but she's in my top 5 favourite characters list now.

I love this game. Even if the ending sucks, I like to think that everything else in this game balances it out. Yes, I will be pissed if the ending sucks, but it's the little things that soften the blow.

I definitely liked both of them just fine as characters. I actually really liked the quests for Cortez.

It just got a little old hearing all the time about how great of a pilot he was, but in practice it was just having him either get my shuttle damaged or being unable to land me anywhere near the designated landing zone or being unable to pick me up when/where he was supposed to pick me up... I don't think there was a single moment in the campaign where Cortez had a moment where I thought to myself, "This guy totally deserves his reputation!"

I mostly felt, because of what you see of his skills in-game, he was competent... but nothing special.

"My name is Garrus Vakarian and this is my favorite spot on the Citadel!"

Shepard and Garrus having their shooting match to blow of stress, when you let Garrus win. My favorite scene in the entire game. I had a hard time stopping laughing.

Javik and Liara at Thessia, so much awesome, every little thing.

Javik as a whole brings so many awesome little moments to the game, for being a brand new character he is incredibly charismatic, when wrex is talking shit with Salarians on Surkesh, Javik adds on the fire with "they were a delicacy".

javik is a total dick, but he gets to be a dick because he is a rage fueled Ancient "Asari finally learned how to write?", priceless.

Yeah, I wish I had brought Javik then. I had Liara and Garrus. Garrus was delightfully flippant about how obvious it was the creators were actually Protheans, but his model failed to load in every scene once you get to the relics. So his voice came from nowhere...and it looked silly.

Im going to replay it just to see how many of the characters shit all over Liara, because she goes into panic mode trying to deny the Protheans hand held the Asari into advanced civilization.

I loved every minute of it apart form the end. Incredible game. So many magic moments.
agreed, so many brilliant moments:

anytime spent with Garrus (my sheps love interest) is best, but their date wins!
