Verahl stayed in his room for a few minutes before walking back out into the main one. Esten was currently sitting on a sofa in the centre with a few others also sitting around.

"I'm leaving for the next few hours to meet with Yossar," he quickly looked over their faces, and realized that Raven wasn't amongst them. He mumbled to himself for a moment, before looking at the kitchen and seeing Lux currently raiding what little there was in the fridge. "Lux, you're in charge for now, the rest of you will listen to him. Two rules there are while I'm gone. One, no one leaves. Anyone who does will have to go through the Krogan, and better not have any plans on coming back. Two, don't hurt, maim, or kill each other. I don't want to deal with anymore shit when I've gotten back."

Lux grumbled, a bit annoyed that he'd have to babysit the rest of them in Verahl's absense.

"Esten, Ocara, and Santius will come with me. Let's move."

With that, the ones selected rose and joined Verahl in the elevator.

---

The bar was relatively close to the hotel they were staying at. The company entered and saw little activity inside of it. It was still early in the morning, and not many people needed a drink yet. A few Salarian business men sat at the counter, while a few Batarian mercenaries sat in the back corner.

Verahl took the booth far from the other patrons. He told everyone to stay alert, but allowed them to have a drink if they wanted. He then closed his eyes and laid his head back against the seat, waiting for Yossar's arrival.

Once VErhal had issued him his orders, Ocara nodded and took up position at the bar. He'd scanned the room for signs of trouble and apart from the mercs in the back he saw no potential danger. Still he made sure his seat had a view of the Batarians and the door, just to be safe. He ordered a drink from the pretty Asari behind the counter and began to sip the light blue liqiud slowly, he'd needed something to calm his fried nerves and the drink was doing its job amicably.

"I wanted to forget what been happening over the past few days." Sal said not looking up. "And I knew everyone would get on my back about it here, So I went to the closest place that had drinks."

Raven sighed. She is taking what happened pretty hard. She thinks it was here fault and she's trying to drown the memories in alcohol. "Sal listen, drinking away your problems isn't going to do anything to stop the memories. What happened with Mayli wasn't your fault and blaming yourself for it is only going to make you more strung out and full of self hatred than you already are."

Shaking his head Raven continued, "Going to afterlife was the worst thing you could have done given the danger we now face. Verahl is on the verge of a nervous breakdown and the last thing we need is to send the Bossman over the edge."

"I know. I know, but damn it I can't think of anything else that will stop these damn memories from replaying in my head." She said looking up. "And the memories are more harmful than the alcohol right now. I need to either kill Mayli or stop them some other way otherwise they'll drive me insane."

Yossar walked into the bar only a few minutes after the others had arrived there. He saw Verahl and walked to their booth. He looked at Santius and Ocara warily, before adressing Verahl, " Didn't think you would need to bring body-guards to see with a potential hire."

"Best to come prepared. I don't know you yet, nor did I know how secure the meet was going to be. Now please, take a seat."

He swept his hand towards the opposite side of the booth. He nodded towards Esten who was sitting on the opposite end of the bar nearby the Batarians. Esten rose and went to the door, and stood beside it.

Verahl waited for Yossar to sit down before talking again.

"Now, all I know about you is a name and the fact that you worked for Aria. Who are you exactly?"

He placed his elbows on the table as his fingers interlocked in front of his mouth. All of his eyes were focused on Yossar, while his expression was fairly blank.

Same goes for you, too bad I don't have any guards...

Yossar slid into the chair he was offered. He noticed Esten's movement but decided not to make anything of it.

" I used to be in the Turian military, served for about 25 years, before I decided the military wasn't cutting it and decided to apply for discharge. I'm a biotic specialist, I spent most of my time on spec ops missions working as a part of a Cabal. I did a variety of missions, mostly counter insurgency, but also some protection, sabotage, recon, neutralizaiton of HVT's. I've led some missions, most having been successful but also more failures that I'd like to admit, in particualar Mehin, but you'll hear enough of that in my dossier most likely. I've always been a good soldier, I take whatever orders, when I trust my commander, but I'm no dog, if I'm told to do something I'll trust there is a reason for it but I will want to hear it."

Yossar finished his speech and leaned back, it was a pretty fair assesment of himself, but he had been sure to leave some things vague intentionally.

"Any thing more?"

Verahl grinned at the mention of a dossier.

A real Turian soldier, I wonder how far the stick up his ass goes. Must go pretty far if he has a full dossier on himself, I wonder how many references he has.

The thought amused him for a second before he concentrated again on what the Turian was saying.

"Any thing more?"

"Just a few things. Like why did you fight back to Aria? And why are you looking to join our side?"

"Just a few things. Like why did you fight back to Aria? And why are you looking to join our side?"

Hmm, he focuses on the whats at hand, didn't get distracted by things he knows he can learn by himself.

" Like I said, I'm no dog, Aria controls her forces with fear, and she had very little care for life. To put it simply she treated me like shit, so I treated her orders like shit. It had nothing to with the order, I've done worse things with less of a reason to. As for actually fighting back instead of running, maybe I just wanted to break that one rule, or maybe I actually felt some compassion towards those two, actually both really.

As for why I want to join you, as of that incident I'm out of a job, and you offered one."

"...It had nothing to with the order, I've done worse things with less of a reason to..."

A visible smile crossed Verahl's face at the mention of this. He immediatly took a liking to Yossar. He could see why the Turian military had held him for 25 years. A soldier that would carry out orders as long as he wasn't beaten like a dog. He might have had a tougher time if he were Batarian, but that was the same reason Verahl had left for the Terminus System.

"If that's the case then... Welcome aboard if you're interested."

He slid towards the end of the booth and slowly rose from it. He brushed his hand across his leg, knocking the remains of a few nut shells he had eaten while waiting onto the floor.

"Our hotel isn't too far from here. We'll explain more when we get there though, I'd rather not continue this discussion in public."

Yossar nodded cautiosly, between Santius's statement and Verahl insuniating there was more to talk about he could sense there was more to this situation. He pulled himself up from his chair and adjusted his collar. "Alright lead the way." He said stepping aside so Verahl could go ahead.

Within a few minutes, the elevator doors to the penthouse opened.

"It's temporary, we have a full set up in the lower levels, but we aren't certain on its security at the moment."

They entered into the common room of the penthouse. Moloa and Lux were in the centre of the room, practicing hand to hand sparring. When Moloa saw Verahl enter with Yossar, she lowered her guard for a second and Lux got a punch in. She turned back to him quickly, and used a light biotic throw to trip him.

"He's the new guy?"

Verahl sighed and nodded. "He is, and if anything breaks, you're paying for it."

Moloa put on a cute, innocent face as if to ask 'But what did I do?'. Verahl ignored it though, he still wasn't in the mood for any fun and games.

Lux slowly rose to his feet, swearing while he did so at Moloa's underhanded move. Verahl approached him.

"Where's everyone?"

"Uh... Rave's with Sal, Basara's in the games room, and... Actually, I haven't seen Dray for a while... The other bedroom maybe?"

Verahl crossed his arms and rolled his tongue around his mouth a few times. He didn't like the idea of Dray being alone at the moment.

"Go see if Sal's alright. I'm worried about Dray. He's bad enough as it is, but Zar was one of his best friends, and that only really leaves him with Sal now."

Lux nodded and marched off towards the room Sal was staying in. Verahl turned back to Yossar, who was still following close behind him.

"Let's go into my room, I'll inform you of our current situation."

With that he opened the doors to the master bedroom, and motioned for Yossar to go in.

---

Lux opened the door to the room Sal and Raven were in.

"Verahl's asking if she's ok yet. Is she?" Lux put very bluntly. Softness and compassion weren't his strong points, but what could be expected of a Krogan being sent to check in on an emotional Quarian.

Yossar walked in, a more humoress man than him would have made a joke about 'Not being that kind of girl' but he stayed silent. He walked over to a chair and sat down adjusting to make himself comfortable.

"Hmm, I wonder, you spoke to Aria after our little altercation, did she tell you about my own situation?"

Raven looked up at Lux, "Everything is fine man. Just having a nice talk." Looking back at Sal, he paused as the past briefly overwhelmed him. Memories of mistakes that he had made and actions that he had taken when he took all the blame himself. "Sal, Mayli will get what is coming to here by our hand or yours but it will happen. I don't know when and I don't know where but I promise you that we will get her. Right now we all need to be strong or we will collapse under the pressure."

Verahl:

Verahl slid behind a desk that sat in the centre of the room. The desk had obviously been moved from one of the corners to where it now rested. Verahl preferred to have it there, so the hotel room would look more like his old office instead of what it really was. He took a moment to adjust a few things on the table, before continuing his conversation with Yossar.

"No. The discussion with her revolved around a deal I was forced to barter into. As I understand from Ocara though you're also wanted from the Pack, which make the both of us have a common enemy."

He placed his elbows on the desk again and interlocked his fingers in front of his mouth. He stared blankly ahead at the door directly in front of him, choosing how he was going to approach this before slowly turning towards Yossar.

"I think though, I should tell you what's exactly happened with us first..."

@Captain

Yeah, I'm not in the mood to type up a massive amount of dialogue from Verahl explaining exactly what has happened during the course of the game. Instead, I'll write you a summary and PM it to you by latest tomorrow evening if I don't have it done within the next half hour.

Lux:

He stood leaned against the doorway, facing Sal and Raven. He chuckled a little before speaking.

"That and stay off the alcohol. It's a highly overrated way to deal with your problems. I'm sure Saint would have something that could work for that though. Watch out for the side effects though."

He chuckled again.

Ray is right though. He thought to himself. We're all going to want to make her pay for what she's done.

"I'll try if I can, but these memories are really getting to me. I can here her speak, her voice think with triumph over what she's done to everyone, I see Drays tear stained and bruised face after a little accident believing that everything bad that had happened to me was because of him, Zars face frozen in her final moments of fear and pain, her mouth still open in a silent scream as the blood pools around her. I just don't know if I can deal with that much longer." She said looking up at her two comrades, her voice sounding tired.

Yossar listened to Verahl's story patiently, about how they had been betrayed by the Blue Suns and how the Bloodpack wanted them dead now. Also about the Quarian Mayli who they were after. He nodded silently until Verahl was finished, then he spoke, " Well, this looks like a mutually beneficial deal, you get a new member who is just as wary of the Pack as you, and I get a group that won't sell me out when they come knocking.

"I suppose I should elaborate on how I got the Pack after me. One of my last missions was to assasinate a Bloodpack officer, a Krogan named Grot, well his brother, Dak, wasn't exactly happy to hear that. An intellegence leak revealed that I had been the trigger man in that opperation and Dak found out I had left the army, so he declard vendetta and has been chasing me ever since I landed in Illium. I came to Illium looking to get help from a guy named Archangel, I never found him. Instead Aria found out who I was and offered my protection from Dak as long as I worked for her. You know how that turned out. Well now I think Dak knows I'm off Aria's payroll, my apartment was torched and I think it was him, or Aria making a point. Either way he'll be coming after me again soon. Good news is that no-one know's where I am, so no one knows that I'm with you, unless you think Aria knows."

Ocara walked through the doors of the penthouse suite and collapsed onto one of the sofas. He wasn't particularly tired, he just wanted to use his free-time to try and wind down before there next emergency.

'Wonder what it could be? Another emotional breakdown from a company member? Lux killing Santius perhaps? Basara wrecking another bar?

He continued to lay on the couch and imagine all the interesting ways things could go wrong, funny how such dark thoughts could be so entertaining.

Sorry if the post isn't particularly up to scratch, I'm on very little sleep and I'm drained from writing my own RP. Don't fret however, I shall not neglect this RP. Afterall its what started my RP phase
