Marcus scanned the building, marking every place a person could be hiding. Dark corners and large shelves to spring a trap from. Things seemed easy enough, one entrance and several places they could post to cover any possible scenario.

"If it's all the same to you Bossman, I'd be more comfortable on a part of the catwalk, somewhere with a good line of sight on the front door."

Verahl doesn't come on quite a few missions. Take position and such where you like. I will probably apoint a second in command after this mission, but I want to see what your characters are like and how people play them before doing that.

Sal took out her Viper "I'll take the outside, Radio if somethin slips by." Sal said to no one in particular as she headed out side.

Moloa began pacing the warehouse floor. "Money's money, I suppose..." she muttered to herself, half-curious as to what the contents of the crates around her were.

(Refering to Sal)

Marcus watched her go in silence from the catwalk. She seemed to know what she was doing and even if she didn't he had the door covered with his Mantis, the world all brought together in the small portal of his scope.

Everything was passing normally so far and hopefully this would be the rare op when things went by without a hitch. Exhaling quietly, Marcus thumbed the safety of his rifle and chambered in a round mumbling into his radio, "In place and ready."

(OoC: In response to Sal)

"Your request has been noted, Quarian," Vek said affirmly. "I will take precidence on guarding the ground level."

Vek moved under the one of the catwalks, and began performing a general diagnostic on his Assault Rifle's combat efficency, readiness, and condition. He was using a basic Avenger model he was carrying. He preffered Haliat Armory's Thunder model for several Aesthetic reason, but had chosen not to bring his customary weapon out of his personal creed: 'The Gun should not make the Warrior.' Therefore, he had chosen an inferior model out of the need to challenge him self.

He stood at total readiness, alertness. He hoped to stay that way for the durration of the mission. He planned not to...

Suddenly though, a large buzz was heard, and all the lights inside and outside the warehouse shut off. Aside from a few emergency lights positioned around the warehouse, the place was almost pitch black. Orange glows were seen in the darkness, and soon beams of light pierced the darkness as the company members turned on their Omni-Tools flashlights.

"I dislike being correct very much."

Vek adjusted his Rifle to a readied position. Something was up. They no longer had the advantage of a well lit facility, which would could only be restored by minimal, artificial means. This would have to be adapted to with a new strategy: stealth.

Not a strong one for a Krogan. This is why he did not work alone.

"Well, shit just got a lot more complicated," Moloa muttered, holding Dvorak in her left hand while projecting a beam of light from her right. She keyed up her radio, "Guys," she whispered, "In whichever order you prefer, is everyone still alive, can anyone get the lights up again and, on a scale from one to ten, how boned are we?"

Throughout the warehouse, the sound of heavy footsteps echoed. The position couldn't be determined but it was coming from above. The footsteps grew heavy for a brief amount of time then stopped. A small explosion was then heard, but the hole was not visible. Four thuds were heard though, as the thieves entered the warehouse.

Sal turned when she heard the explosion "Damn." She said as she moved towards the door and opened it cautiously. "Switching to private channel, any one have confirmation on who's inside yet.

"I'm still up Moloa and boy I hate it when I'm right. Besides shit hasn't even hit the fan yet, I'd rate it about a five."

Marcus knew shit was up when the lights went out but judging by the thumps of the footfalls, things were still manageable. Holstering his sniper and pulling his shotgun, Marcus made sure to note the positions of his squadmates. If anyone died it wasn't going to be because of him.

Whispering into his radio, Marcus said "Mark your shots as carefully as you can. We can't afford any friendlies in the crossfire. They don't know we are here or they wouldn't charge in like this. On the other hand they might be idiots and this just plays right to us. Either way check your fire."

The four intruders were now on the ground level of the warehouse. After falling down onto the top of the shelves, they climbed their way down to the floor. Through their goggles, they saw the mercenaries move round in the dark, and watched as they unholstered their weapons and turned on their flashlights. They murmered to each other about sticking to the plan, and split up into two groups, and one moved further into the warehouse.

They stopped in the centre, as far as they could away from where most of the mercenaries were patrolling. They hid behind crates and boxes as they slowly checked the contents. One was standing lookout while the other stood inside the shelf, looking through the box's wares.

They were looking for something, and having no luck finding it.

Suddenly, the one searching dropped the lid of the crate onto the floor, creating a large crashing sound that echoed throughout the warehouse.

Just because I'm gone, doesn't mean you guys have to stop the RP. For futurue reference, when I'm gone, you can still do your actions, that way I can respond to them when I get back if they involve any of the NPCs.

Sal turned to the loud crash "There!" She said pointing her flashlight at the thief before the man could escape Sal fired two shots, one into each of the man legs, stopping him from running. "Target immobilized. I'll keep my flashlight on him, the rest of you get down there and get him, someone stay up on the catwalk and watch my back." Sal said through the radio, her training experiences taking over.

"Got you covered Sal." Marcus caught of glimpse of movement, a thief running behind a shelf, a handgun clutched tightly in his white knuckled grasp, his breath pitched. "Target sighted on your back Sal, taking him now."

A resounding crack followed by a gasp of pain was music to Marcus's ears, the leg of his target disappearing in a fine mist of gore and viscera. Marcus zoomed out careful to keep Sal's profile in the watchful eye of his scope and cycled the bolt ejecting the spent heat canister.

"That would be two down, anyone else got something?"
