Moans and cries were heard from the theives in the warehouse. The biotic blast aimed at one had thrown him into one of the shelves, slamming his head on the top of it as he entered. The other two had crawled behind boxes for cover, yelling for help from their accomplices. A small explosion was heard in one of the back corners of the warehouse, and was illuminated by an emergency light on the outside wall. The thief ran through it, running towards the outer fence in fear, abandoning the others.

"Damn!" Sal said sliding down the ladder. She ran after the thief accompanied by Santius and Vek. She looked down the sights of her rifle and fired twice. One missed the other hit the thief in the shoulder. He looked back long enough to show a smug look. The was until a third and forth shot hit him in the legs. "Never stop running when under fire." She quoted her old captain.

perfectly fine, but remember about shields and such. Only saying that though because people are tearing through NPCs and such at a higher rate then what I expected.
The thief toppled and fell onto the ground. He was muttering something while they approached.

"Get away from me you psychopaths! " he screamed. He was a Salarian wearing a dark black jumpsuit with a pair of goggles on his head, and some explosive charges and grenades attached to his belt. "You killed them for what?! For some fucking credits! Get away from me!"

His hand moved towards his belt as they drew closet. "Don't make me do it! Go away!"

"First off we didn't kill them, just stopped them from running, like you tried." Sal said kneeling down. "Secound do you think that's a good idea? Blowing yourself to pieces." She asked him. "Don't throw your life away over some credits, that's just a waist of life. Surely you have a family who needs you?" she said to the distraught Salarian.
OCC said:
Well I figured they wouldn't have shields, being thief's and all. But hey your right. I'll try to remember that.

"Stop him from running?! You blew his leg off! Asten's dead because of you! We blew the hole in and killed the lights so no one would have to get hurt! And you shot them! None of us even drew our weapons we- NO! GET---"

Vek took a step towards the Salarian, causing him to go for a grenade. Without hesitation Vek fired. The Salarian dropped back onto the ground as the shots rippled through him. His eyes now focusing on nothing, just staring upwards as he lay in a growing pool of blood.

OoC: Got permission from Pat for that.

"What a waste of life, keelah se'lai." she said prying over the dead Salarian "It's is sad seeing people forced to thievery. No matter whats done is done." She said standing up. We should see if the others are okay." She said turning and walking through the hole. "That's going to come out of our paycheck."

Sal sighed "No they were accidental kills. Gotta remember that with low or no shields, even the viper can cause some serious damage. I'll have to aim for the feet next time. Keelah se'lai." She said over the bodies of the other three thieves. "But except for the holes in the wall, we've done exactly what we were hired to do; guard whatevers in these crates." She said gesturing towards the boxes.

"Besides who is going to miss a few thieves? Good job guys, you didn't go and shit yourselves like I thought some of you would and nobody was hit by friendly fire."

Marcus laughed to himself. He was genuinely impressed with this ragtag group, when the shit hit the fan they had reacted calmly and methodically, eliminating the threat before anyone was hurt and they had mostly prevented structural damage.

"A round of beers on me when we get back to base."

Well those will have to be dextro-protein beers for me, Santius and Xandus." Sal said with a chuckle. "But that's later, for now we're still on the clock. I think I'll stay in here this time."

The company gathered their things and left. The thieves were dead and with them the job done. When the transport landed in the parking lot, Verahl was there to meet them. He had already been informed on the mission by the company as they travelled back.

"Thieves are dead and your pay will be funded to your respective accounts in the morning. The damage done to the building will cost us partially, and while I normally would be more concerned about it, right now there is something much bigger to prepare for. Tomorrow evening we're heading out on possibly one of our biggest contracts yet. In the morning I'll inform you on the stakes, but right now, get some sleep. All of you will need to be at your best for it. That means no drinking until this is done you two." he said pointing at Xandus and Santius. "I'm not going to draw this out anymore, go to your quarters, and prepare for tomorrow evening."

With that, Verahl went inside. The company soon followed him. Verahl went into his office, and the company started walking down the stairs to their quarters. On the way down, they saw Dray running up, having a shotgun slung over his back, a pistol holstered on his side, and carrying a flamethrower with both hands. He almost tripped in surprise when he saw the company there.

"Oh, hi, welcome back everyone! No time to talk though! Very busy!" he sputtered out, even faster then usual as he flew by them.

Oh, and a quick thing. I sat here for five minutes and couldn't really figure out how you'd measure time on a space station like Omega. I basically decided it was going to have a standard time, with a day length of 24 hour, the last part just for ease. I guess time measurement is one of those unanswered Mass Effect questions.

"Not your's, Verahl's. Wants to check them before tomorrow. Needs to make sure his gear is up to his standards." Dray said, stopping to quickly talk with Santius.

"Wait, boss is actually coming with us?" Sal said with a hint of surprise. "That is interesting to say the least. Well I'm off, I'm exhausted and need sleep." Sal said heading to her room.

"He said it was too important a mission to have anything go wrong. He's asked me to prepare some of the equipment for tomorrow before the rest of you wake up. Now excuse me please!" he said as quickly started climbing the stairs quickly and at two at a time.

Sal groaned "I've said it before and I'll say it again those were not meant to be kills. And if anything they won't be petty criminals. If The boss is coming along there will be for worse." She said to the turian. "Tell me something Santius have you ever fought against a Quarain Marine?"
