Verahl:

When the Gauntlet landed, the damage had already been done to the bar and the surrounding neighboorhood. It was a hit and run attack conducted by the 4-6. The street had a few bodies laying in it, most surrounded by others trying to perform basic first aid on them. Lux was in standing in the middle of it, and Karnak's back could be seen surrounded by a few others standing over what was assumed to be a body.

"Saint, don't give me any bullshit, just get whoever's hit on their feet."

Saint grumbled before wandering off to the closest body. He pushed his way past the small crowd to an Asari, as he looked over her injuries.

"Don't just stand there, you guys brought the supplies, someone get 'em for me!"

Verahl looked back at the company. There was little that could be done by them now.

"If any of you know any medical skills, use them. Once we've helped stabalize this place, we're going to retaliate."

With that he walked over to Lux, to ask him what he saw.

Esten:

Esten wandered between the wounded, glancing at each of them to see what had hurt them. While he knew some first aid, it wouldn't be enough to help them. What he knew was only good enough to keep you on your feet for a few hours, or to keep you alive long enough to reach a medic.

He stopped at the end of the street peering over Karnak's shoulder to see who he was kneeling above. Below him lay a small Turian, he couldn't have even been old enough to handle a proper drink. Karnak was struggling to try and keep the child breathing. Esten couldn't see where the bullet had hit, but the damage must have been severe, he could see a few trinkles of blood creeping into a drain under his feet.

Esten looked up and noticed there weren't any Turians standing by them. He wondered where the parents could have been, and what their reaction would be to finding their son in this state.

Esten shrugged and turned back to face the rest of the street. He walked over to Verahl and Lux, to listen to what Lux was telling Verahl.

Lux:

Lux barely paid attention to Esten when he walked up.

"Look Verahl, I'm telling you, I only got here a couple minutes before you landed. Not a single one of them was here."

"Fine. What about us then? Think we should try a counterattack or wait and see if they strike somewhere else?"

"Heh, Verahl asking me for input. I never would have---"

"Just answer the question Lux."

"Honestly? Fuck them, blood for blood right?"

Esten decided to interupt.

"It would be better to remain defensive. Such a quick attack might mean that another will be soon striking elsewhere. If we're wanting to protect the people we should remain."

"Can it Esten, I say we take it to them, throw those bastards off. They'll be expecting us to stay back, hell, they might even try making the next place a trap, using the civvies to bait us to them."

Lux and Esten continued to argue in the middle of the carnage over what the next course of action should be. Lux continued to support the opportunity to attack, while Esten stated it would be much wiser for them to stay back and hold their district. Their arguement could be heard by most of the company members, as each held their stance firmly.

Sal wandered through the corpses trying to find someone she could help. Unfortunately her medical skill didn't go far beyond applying medi-gel and repairing environmental suits. She sighed and closed the eyes of an Turian "<May your ancestors watch over you. Keelah se'lai>"She muttered over the body. "Useless deaths all around, all for what? Trying to prove superiority. Now if only they knew the pain they had caused, well they will if I have anything to say about it." She mumbled to her self.

Basara sighed. "As much as I hate to admit it, I have to agree with Esten. Yeah, we might hit a splinter cell or two, but until we find their main base of operations, what we're going to be doing is just stuffing gauze into a wound, without trying to treat the cut, if you'll pardon the analogy." He looked around. "We can't let this happen again. Why don't we try and get some civvies as intel? Use them to track 4-6 movement. God knows there are enough of 'em, after today."

Lux:

"Ask them what? Were your attackers human? Did they hurt you? These people will know nothing on them. They don't know where they came from, or where their base of operations is, so how can they help us in any way?"

Lux paused, and cracked his knuckles, he wanted to have blood tonight.

"I say we hit them where it hurts them. Hit their bars, clubs, hospitals, anywhere that pays them well. Show the people that if they're going to support the 4-6, the consequences will hit them as well."

Lux:

"That's the spirit Santius! Stop whining about something and take action against it! Maybe there's hope for you yet," Lux rowdily said. "Who else is up for kicking these bastards in the quads?"

Esten:

Esten simply stared at Lux. He was unimpressed yet unsurprised by his actions.

Always a Krogan that will charge straight into the thick of things without an idea or care for the consequences.

He shook his head and turned silent on the matter. The only thing Lux was doing was stirring everybody up.

"Well, I fucked that right up didn't I?" asked Ocara from his position on Lexi's floor, leant against a wall, while she looked down on him from her seat. He'd arrived a few minutes ago and had spent the time recounting his leaving to Lexi, how after all they had been through, no-one seemed to care, how it was probably a good thing that he left.

He sat, his head leant back against the wall, his eyes closed and in silence, listening to the sounds of gunfire coming from far away, being thankful that Lexi's appartment was situated in Neutral turf and not on either Aegis' or 4-6, he wanted nothing to do with them any more, especially Aegis, they didn't want him, he didn't want them.

And thats what he continued to tell himself, over and over and over.

"Can't we try a more subtle approach? Maybe one of the humans should try and infiltrate 4-6. That way, we can get our hands on the location of their base and any other handy information, without having to charge in head first."

Thayna looked round at the destrcution that had been caused by the 4-6. Seeing it had made her realise what a problem they were, and needed to be dealt with. But that didn't mean she wanted to attack without a plan.

"If we don't know where they're base is how can we infiltrate it? That's even assuming we have the time to infiltrate." Yossar replied to Thayna. He looked at the body on the ground, and kept walking without a second thought. This was different than any war he had fought, in a military war he would know the next step, but this was different, this was between gangs and companies, not armies, and that meant the rules and the mental was different. And so he was out of his element, wishing a 4-6 would just jump up so he could smoke him because that's the part that never changes.

"I meant sign up with them, pretend they agree with their views on aliens and become a member. With someone on the inside, we would have a strong advantage over them. Or we can march into their territory guns blazing. Either's good."

Pounding was heard on the outside of the door. Each was loud and fast, quickly followed by another. Someone wanted into the apartment.

"Lexi! Lexi open up!"

The pounding continued.

"Lexi, open the damn door, don't make us force our way in!"

Ocara glanced from Lexi to the door and then back to Lexi, whos paniced face told him everything he needed to know, it was 4-6 coming to inquire about the 'bar incident'. A quick check with the IR function on his eyen confirmed it, there were four 4-6 standing outside of Lexi's door and they were all armed.

On a normal day, Ocara would have felt confident enough to take them on, four street punks vs a semi-experienced Turian in close quarters was reasonable odds for Ocara, but not with Lexi there and not with the gaping wound in his stomach, no, he would have to play it cool.

Ocara looked around for a place to hide, finding an adequate spot wedged between the space above the door to Lexi's bedroom and the living room. Once in position he activated his cloak and drew his pistol. If things took a bad turn, he'd jump down and defend Lexi, giving his life if need be.

To Ocara, a life without Lexi was a life not worth living.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Once Lexi was sure Ocara was out of sight, she straightened herself up, lit a cigarette and approached the door, opening it to the gang members, her face a mask of reserved hostility.

"What the fuck do you guys want? Shouldn't you be out hunting those xeno's that trashed my bar?!"

Lux:

"There's no time for that! They've gone offensive on us already! It could take days before they would even---"

Lux couldn't finish before being thrown to the floor by an explosion that rocked the entire street. Lux coughed as he waved his hand in front of his face to clear the dust that had been kicked up and now covered everything. He sat stunned and shocked by the explosion. When he finally snapped out of his daze, he could see Verahl running to each member of the company. Most were still on the ground, knocked from their feet from the blast, as Verahl checked to see if any were wounded. Lux looked down the street, trying to spot the source of the blast. The bar at the end was no longer there. The place had been demolished. Small fires were starting around it, while debris filled the street nearby.

Lux finally pulled himself to his feet, and looked at the other members nearby.

"The fuck was that?!"

Thayna coughed and slowly picked herself up from the ground. Her ears still rang with the explosion as she blearily looked round at the others. It seemed as if everyone was alright, at least, not injured too seriously. As her head cleared, she began thinking about who could have attacked them. One conclusion seemed obvious.

"Sons of bitches. It's got to be the 4-6."

4-6:

"Don't even think of playing dumb with us you fucking whore."

The four of them entered the room, pushing their way past Lexi. One stood by the door, another went to the couch in the centre, immediately making himself at home, and the other started rummaging through her fridge. The last kept talking to Lexi, as he moved to the centre of the room, and started to look over her things.

"Half the bar is saying you were with the Turian who shot up the place. Most are blaming some girl that worked there who had short black hair, darker skin, who they swore they don't remember seeing without a cigarette the entire night."

The one from the couch laughed before speaking as well.

"Few told us as well that it was the girl with the best ass in the whole damn bar, so naturally you were the first on my list," he said, he continued to laugh after he was finished.

Lux:

"Assholes left a present behind for us," Lux yelled, his anger hardly being masked by his sarcasm.

"Anyone get hit by that?"

Yossar pushed off the dead body that had been thrown on top of him by the blast.

"They attack a bar, rig it with a charge, we come to investigate and they blow it?" Yossar proposed, "The problem with that is they missed. Either way they know we're here, and that's not good I say we relocate."
