"Shove it Otto and don't ruin my couch, its not got plastic on it, so any accidents you have will leave a mark"

Lexi turned her head back to face the leader and stared at him, her eyes silently ablaze, furious at his 'baseless' accusations.

"That god-damned crab was molesting me infront of the whole damn bar, I was gunna tell him to buzz off before your 'boys' came in and started shooting" she continued, her voice not faltering or betraying her deceptions, for if she had learnt anything in her years on Omega, it was how to tell a good lie, she just hoped it would be enough to get that brute out of her apartment.

4-6:

Otto whistled, before throwing another remark at her.

"Girl, the only stains I'll leave behind are the ones I make with you!"

The one looking through the fridge laughed, before shouting back at Otto.

"Amen to that one. Now where the hell does she keep the beer?"

Kurt hated being lied to. While, Lexi might have sounded convincing, everything he had been told tonight was working against her. It wasn't simply not fitting with it either, but going against everything he had found out.

"First warning, don't you fucking lie to me girl. So, I'll make this as clear as possible. Where the fuck is he?"

Lux:

"If some fucker was sitting around with a detonator, waiting for one of us to go near, then he's doing the poorest job I've ever seen!"

Verahl yelled back at Yossar, as he helped Sal to her feet.

"He's right, it's almost certainly a timed charge. Probably left it behind hoping one of us would have checked the bar out by now."

"How the fuck would I know where some fucking lizard is?! You are meant to be the fucking professionals!" replied Lexi, her pupil dilating in a pure expression of her anger, but her overuse of profanity giving her away, even more than if she pointed to Ocara's hiding place. Kurt had a way of gleaning the truth from people, she'd seen it at the bar once, but she'd never expected, or wanted, to be on the receiving end of one of his glares.

Lexi took a couple of deep breaths, slowing down her racing heart and she looked up at Kurt once more.

"I. Dont. Know. Him."

4-6:

"What's wrong Lexi? You're sounding nervous. You know I'm onto you. You know I'm not buying a single word of this bullshit your trying to pile onto me."

He took a step closer to her.

"So what is it, huh? You're going to try and play this game with us? You're going to try and make us go away?"

He kept coming closer to her until he was only inches away from her face.

"Where is he Lexi? Where is he right now?"

"Get the fuck away from her!" yelled Ocara as he dropped from his hiding spot, uncloaking as he did so. The moment his feet came into contact with the ground, he dropped down into a semi squat/kneel and popped off two shots at 'refrigerator dude'.

Without waiting to see the results of his shots, he dashed over the the rapidly standing Otto and grabbed him, sliding his left arm around the Humans throat and his rested on the mans shoulder bone, his right hand holding his pistol and pointing it directly at the lead Human, exposing as little of his body as he could.

However, the injury in his side had slowed him down and as he brought the weapon to bear on Kurt, he realised he was too late, for Kurt was already mirroring his position, but instead of holding a misogynistic thug, he was holding Lexi.

"Let her go!"

4-6:

"Not a chance in hell, lizard," Kurt said with a smile on his face. "You fuckers must have the brain the size of a walnut, only way something like you could try something like this."

Kurt kept his gun pressed to Lexi's temple, while the other 4-6 had his shotgun drawn and aimed at Ocara.

"I mean, trapping yourself in a room, leaving your girlfriend in the hands of myself, and finally putting yourself directly in front of a trained Vanguard. Bad bad mistake."

Before Ocara could even reply, the Vanguard had already prepared his Throw, and was sending it across the room towards the two.

Just as Ocara was formulating a response and readying a shot for Kurt's forehead, he saw a flash of blue from the corner of his good eye and then he felt himself slamming backwards into the wall, the thug that had been serving as his meat shield, slamming into his slumped form a moment later.

"So what's the plan of action? After they pulled a stunt like that, I say we hit them as hard as we can. If we don't, they'll just get more and more ambitious. Let's get hold of one of them and beat the location of their base out of him, and then take it out."

4-6:

Otto hit Ocara, and then the floor, groaning as he laid there. Kurt was almost doubling over with laughter, having difficulty holding onto Lexi.

"He didn't even see it coming, god damn!"

The Vanguard simply turned and looked at Kurt, prompting him to quickly stiffle his laughter. He continued to stare at him, while he held Lexi.

"He's not going to be like that all night."

"Right!"

Kurt quickly threw Lexi to the floor as he ran over to Ocara. Ocara tried to resist him, but Kurt stopped him with a few blows. Before long, Ocara was restrained by bits of clothing that had now tied his arms and legs together. Finally a bag was placed over his head.

Otta limped across the room, using whatever was close by to help him balance, while the Biotic held Lexi. The other 4-6 remained behind, laying in a pool of blood and milk that Ocara had made for him. Before long, they were on a small ship, heading back to 4-6 territory.

Lux:

Lux laughed, happy to see the blood lust in Thayna. Her tenacity reminded him of Moloa.

"That's the spirit! Now who else is up for a good kidnapping?"

Meer looked around, disgusted at the carnage. "Look at this." He said. "These civilians weren't even armed. What's the point of killing if there's no fight in it? This... this is just disgusting. Things like this made me leave the Blood Pack."

" I hear you Meer, this is why I left the army." Yossar replied.

" Abduction and interrogation does seem like the way to go at this point. What do you think, hit one of their clubs, capture a few mooks and get the data from them? So far we need to know base locations, prominent figures, etc."

Basara coughed, trying to get all the dust out of his lungs. He had been standing closest to the bar when the bomb went off. It had blown him on his back and had trapped him underneath a pile of rubble. Fortunately, Basara's extreme luck provided that the rubble had formed a cave right above himm, protecting him from the danger. Basara activated the motors in his suit's joints and groaned with effort as he pushed the rubble off him. He finally extricated himself and walked over to the group, still coughing. He saw blood splatter over his arm, so he checked his face. A piece of shrapnel had scored his face, slicing the skin from the left corner of his mouth to his chin. He grimaced, immediately sorry for it. The wound wasn't serious, but it was a facial wound, so it bled a bit. "Damn, I must be fuckin' related to Lady Luck to get out that easily." He shook his head slowly. "We need to demoralize them, I agree. If they believe they can get away with this sort of shit, then there'll be no stopping them. We can't send a message, they're guerilla fighters. They'll just hid and hit later. No, we need to find the nest." He turned to find Saint. "Also, Saint, whenever you get the chance, would you mind tossing me some bandages? Thank you."

Raven slowly opened his eyes still slightly shellshocked from the explosion. He had his back to the bar when it had gone up and the explosion had flipped him head over heels into the wall hard enough to crack it. Such senseless violence all for the sake of an ideal. This is the kind of thing that starts a wars. Don't they realize that killing civilians is going to bring everyone down on top of them? Stumbling to his feet, he glanced at the others before speaking, "Everyone ok?"

Sal stood up, she had been knocked down from the blast. She watched the others coughing and squinting through the dust. Okay the uses from this envirosuit are almost even with it's defects. Sal thought frowning at the now destroyed building. "I'm fine Raven. But we need to worry about these 4-6 boshtets. I'm all for a frontal assault, or baiting them but what ever we do we need to do it/"

Saint:

"Get them yourself asshole! You cunts drag me down here to be the doctor, the rest of you can play god damn nurses!"

Saint was still furious over what he was being forced to do. He was beginning to hate Verahl more and more with each passing moment. There he was, sitting back, enjoying his evening with a line of Red Sand sitting on his desk before Liz barges in demanding he get on the Gauntlet. He felt he was right in his actions to tell her to 'Fuck right off', but she was persistant. She grew louder and louder by the second, as the two kept screaming at each other. Then Verahl showed up, grabbed Saint by his collar, and pulled him from his clinic to journey off with them all the way across the district to 'save' some people that were too slow to get away from the highly armed gang.

They had it coming.

Saint finished stitching up some Salarian he was kneeling over, before moving to the next one a few feet away. They'd still need proper treatment, but at least it'd keep them from dieing on the streets.

Karnak:

Karnak slowly pushed himself up from the street. He had been returning to the Gauntlet when the blast struck. He looked back to see what was left of the area surrounding the bar, but saw little. Basara was the only one to push his way from the rubble. The other civilians, the ones clustered around the child, couldn't be seen. Karnak simply shook his head in disgust and anger. He wasn't surprised anymore by the depths the 4-6 would sink to. The explosion that had just rocked them was just another thing to add to their list of atrocities.

Karnak kept walking, past the other company members and into the Gauntlet. He placed the plates of his armor on, and made sure the shields were operational, before pulling his shotgun out from one of the crates. He stripped the weapon, making sure it was ready, while he waited for the rest of the company to get onto the ship. They left Saint behind to deal with the mess despite his protest. There was a good chance that scumbag would have simply walked back to his clinic. Karnak couldn't help but hate Saint. He was one of the worst people he had ever met in his life. The man was not simply ruled by vice, but fully embraced it.

When he was satisfied, he reassembled the shotgun. He double checked to make sure that a new thermal clip had been placed in it before resting it beside him, leaning it in the space between the seats. He couldn't wait to pick it up again. To have it waved in the face of some 4-6 piece of shit. To make them pay for their crimes at the end of his barrel. He reached down and felt the handle of his knife, sheathed and held on the side of his boot. A smirk crossed his face as the thought crossed his mind, ignited by the reminder of presence the sharp blade held.

Maybe I'll even have the chance to be creative.

"I'm sorry Karnak, are we breaking your concentration?"

Verahl's voice sharply penetrated the isolation Karnak had fallen into. He hadn't even been paying attention to a word that had been said by anyone else on the ship since they got on.

"Sorry sir," he responded quickly, attempting to make it seem like his lapse in attention was only for a moment, and not the entire time.

Verahl:

"I'll say this one last time, so ALL of you better be paying attention," Verahl said, still staring at Karnak. "From what I've gathered so far, the 4-6 have most of their district held tightly. Most people being forced to leave are being replaced by Humans all too eager to live in a place free of any so called "alien threats", even if it means they'll be paying more later for it. The 4-6 have also been growing in numbers recently. Estimates hold them at nearly thirty strong. Many of the members are new though, kids given guns and told to shoot anything they damn well please as long as it isn't one of them. Because of this, we should be facing rather inexperienced combatants, but each will be having a dangerous enthusiasm. So, keep on your toes, they might try something stupid that even a Krogan with an extra quad would find daring."

He paused, letting what he said sink in once again to each of them, so they'd have a chance to anticipate who they were up against.

"Now, onto what we're doing at the moment," Verahl continued, reciting what he had come up with to get back at the 4-6. "When the Gauntlet's bay opens, we'll be in 4-6 territory, and we're not staying any longer then we have to. We'll be landing outside a warehouse near the edge of their territory. The warehouse is suspected to have been converted to suit the 4-6's interests. I don't know what they have stored inside, but I know two things. One, it's important to them. Two, they have armed guards kept there at all times. Expect anywhere from two to five inside. We need them alive though. That means any of you with Biotics, I want taking point. Incapacitate them so others can restrain them, understood?"

He reached down into one of the bins in front of him, and pulled out a rather large explosive charge.

"Now, I want these to be set up inside. We don't have time to capture the goods as well, so destruction is called for them. I'll need two of you to set up charges at opposite ends of the warehouse while the rest of us go for the guards."

He put the charge on the seat behind him, and continued to fish the others out.

"Now, that leaves us with three slots needing to be filled. We need a Biotic to take point on the infiltration, and two others to plant the charges. So speak up, who's doing what?"
