Masters, A Pokemon RP(CLOSED) Chapter 7: Out of the Woods.

[Mookie_Magnus]

Magnus and Duncan walked back inside and saw that most of their companions were standing in front of a drink-vending machine.

"Something wrong with it?" Magnus asked.

"Yeah..." Brandon told him. "It keeps messing up, and you have to hit it to get your drink."

"Well, just be careful not to shake it, or it might topple and crush you." Magnus joked morbidly. He looked behind the machine, and took a peek at the outlet. Its plug was not firmly inside the outlet, hanging out slightly. He unplugged the machine, and plugged it back in, firmly. "Let's see if this works now..."

Magnus pulled out and inserted a dollar bill, and selected a bottle of water for his drink. The machine hummed, and a few seconds passed. Then, the machine clanged, and the bottle of water fell into the slot. Magnus grabbed his water, and took a drink.

"It works fine, it just needed to be plugged in all the way." Magnus said plainly, then he turned and brought Eon back to Nurse Joy to be restored to health.

When the battle was over Mark got up and went over to the desk and got Combusken back. Then he walked over to the vending machines where everyone else was. "Nice work Magnus, it really looked like he had you. Now I want to battle, come on who's up for it."

"Sure I havent gotten a chance to battle yet." brandon said finsihing his drink.

Elena looked to Brandon for a long moment, still sitting by the table and fiddling with a Pokedex that seemed a little worse for wear. She then smiled, and leaned back against her seat.

"You boys go ahead and fight, then," she said with a mild yawn. "When we're ambushed by Pokemon thieves, I'll be ready, at least." Elena grinned jokingly, before reaching to the newest addition to her belt. She had someone to get acquainted to.

Holding the Pokeball aloft, a flash of light signalled the appearance of Hermes, the Sparrow she had most recently caught. It looked about sharply, observing its surroundings, before looking to Elena with a sharp and defiant stare. She stared back. Only until Hermes blinked did she laugh.

"Minos is going to love you!" she said as she pulled a pouch from her shoulder bag and spread a handful of cylindrical treats along the floor. The Spearow eyed them cautiously for a long moment, before hopping forward and beginning to eat.

"Hey Eric!" Elena called once Hermes had settled nicely. "If you want some treats to help your new catch warm up to you, I don't mind sharin'."

"Alright Brandon lets go outside, we wouldn't want to wreck the pokemon center, I'd hate to see what Nurse Joy can do when she's mad." Mark said starting to walk toward the door.

Eric walked over and took a handful of treats.

"Thanks."

He released his pokemon, and spread the treats out for them. Calhoun quickly went to devouring his share, while the Sentret...ran around staring wide-eyed at everything.

"Sentret! Sent? Seeentreet!"

Eric and Calhoun stared at it.

"Pi?"

"Um, Sentret?"

The Sentret span around, noticing the treats, and sprinted over for it's meal.

"Alright then." Brandon said following mark outside. "C'mon out Faith." Brandon called out after they had gotten out side.

"Torkoal, Tor." so this is the cold huh. Faith said as she let out a puff of smoke. "Torkoal." I like it.

"Meet Faith, I met her on Cinnabar on my trip through Kanto." Brandon said petting Faiths head.

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

Magnus retrieved Eon from Nurse Joy, and he then let out all of his Pokemon to eat. Garnet and Eon munched happily away, while Quillz watched them as she ate. Magnus brushed Quillz' fur with his fingers, and she emitted a pleased rumble from her throat.

Magnus saw Eric and Elena let their Pokemon get to know their newest additions to their teams. Elena and Hermes seemed to be a good match, and Eric's new Sentret seemed quite energetic. Magnus stroked Quillz' powerful neck, and then went over to examine Eric and Elena's Pokemon.

"You know..." Magnus said to Eric as he approached. "That Sentret is about as energetic as my Furret, Scout. He's back home with some of my other Pokemon. Have you thought of a name, yet? Can you tell the gender?"

Eric shook his head.

"I don't know. Maybe you could go check?"

The Sentret's ears perked, and it turned to cast a suspicious glare at the two trainers.

"Or...not?"

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

"Yeah, I think I can check." Magnus said, kneeling down to the Sentret's level. He rubbed the Sentry Pokemon's ears gently, and it relaxed. "Don't worry, this won't hurt."

Magnus picked up the Sentret by the tail, and held it upside down. The tail of a Sentret is strong, capable of supporting more than its own weight. The Sentret wriggled a little bit, slightly distressed.

"Sentret!" Let go! The Pokemon cried anxiously.

"Just relax, and hold still." Magnus lifted the Pokemon up to eye-level and examined it closely. "You've got a male, Eric."

Magnus let the Sentret down carefully, and hand-fed it a treat.

"That's a good boy..." Magnus cooed to the Pokemon, petting it. "I'm sorry I scared you."

"Alright then nice to meet you faith, come on out Combusken." Mark said raising up the ball with Combusken and letting him out. "Up for another battle?"

"Combus...ken" It said glaring at Faith.

"Heh, he always gets that way around other fire pokemon, though I never asked him why, well why is it?"

"Combusken busken." I'm not telling you.

"Fine be that way, now get ready to battle."

"Well then allow me to make the first move, Faith Rapid Spin!" Brandon said as Faith disappeared inside her shell and sped towards Combusken.

"You can deal with rapid spin now right Combusken? Jump up and use double kick." Combusken lept into the air and threw a kick at Faith, but the spinning just threw him off, Combusken landed on his feet determined to win. "Nice work Combusken wait for her to stop spinning then use double kick again."

Brandon smiled as Faith stopped spinning and was hit by the Combuskens Double kick. It did some damage bu not enough to knock it out. "Alright Faith, Now Overheat." Faith let out a powerful blast of fire. Since Combusken was still close this hit head on.

"You can take a little heat right?" Combusken nodded. "Good now focus energy then hit her hard with a peck." Combusken readied it self then ran full charge to hit Faith with his beak.

How many moves do we get to use?

You get four moves at any one time. Over time, the moves may change, but you can only have four at a time. That's how it is in everything Pokemon.

The Sentret smiled, eating the treat...

"Sentret!"

...And bit Magnus on the finger.

"Sent." Even.

Eric chuckled.

"I haven't even named him yet, I'm not responsible for that."

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

"Ow!" Magnus blurted out when the Sentret bit him. "That hurt, you little..."

Quillz quickly got up and stood at Magnus' side. She stood on all-fours and snarled a warning at the Sentret. The flames on her back were out and roaring.

"Easy, girl..." Magnus said, trying to calm her. "It's just a young Pokemon being a little rascal."

Quillz calmed slightly, but shot a nasty look at the Sentret. Magnus stroked her fur, and she returned to her food.

"Hey, how about naming him Rascal?" Magnus suggested. "It fits him..."

"Rapid Spin." Brandon said as Combusken charged at Faith. Faith retreated inside her shell and spun in place, effectively blocking the peck. "Alright finsih this off with Earthquake!" He said as Faith stomped the ground, shaking the ground around the two battling trainers.
