Masters, A Pokemon RP(CLOSED) Chapter 7: Out of the Woods.

The earthquake caused Combusken to tumble to the ground and the shaking jarred him quiet a bit, Mark even lost his footing and almost fell, after it stopped Combusken lept back on his feet panting but determined.

"Combusken, that's enough you can't win in that condition." Combusken just ignored him. "I said that's enough come back." Combusken ignored him again and lept in to perform a double kick.

Brandon sighed "Faith finish it off with a Flamethrower." Faith let out a pillar of fire the engulfed the Combusken. The Pokemon fell to the ground mid jump smoking and unconscious but other wise unharmed.

Mark sighed. "Thanks, I've never seen him get that worked up. Wonder if he's got something against Torkoal?" Mark said picking Combusken up. "And Nurse Joy isn't going to be too happy seeing him in this condition after just having him back there." He walked back into the pokemon center to check Combusken in, again.

"Hey don't worry about it. Combusken is probably like that by nature. You could try to train it out of him but I don't think anything short of brainwashing could stop him." Brandon said following Mark back inside. "I wouldn't worry about it though. Unless it starts becoming a real problem."

 

[MasterSqueak]

"Hmmm, what do you think about that?"

The Sentret continued it's meal, ignoring Eric.

"Um...Rascal it is!"

He turned to Magnus.

"Sorry about him biting you."

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

"It's fine..." Magnus assured Eric. "He was just nervous. I'll bandage it up later."

Quillz sent a dirty look towards Eric and Rascal, then finished the last of the food in her bowl.

"Still, you'll have to make sure he doesn't bite me again. Otherwise, I'm afraid Quillz might eat him."

"Typhlosion..."I would do it too.

"She said that she would do it." Magnus relayed the message. "She's killed and eaten bigger, I know. Come on, let's let our Pokemon get to know each other."

Duncan was in the large animal area of the Center, brushing down his Ponyta. As he brushed her lovingly he thought to himself, what was he going to do; just travel with them until they hit Azalea Town, or would he do more. He already had Bugsy's badge, due to him growing up in that town, but now he wanted more, to be a better trainer, like that Magnus guy, who had thrashed in the battle.

He finished brushing and walked up to Magnus, "Shouldn't we get a move on soon, we can't intrude on the Pokemon Center forever."

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

"Oh, you want to leave?" Magnus asked of Duncan. "Are you sure? It's nearly dark outside, and I was planning on staying the night..."

Magnus called and gathered all of his new companions and asked them a question.

"Alright, do you all want to head back out and travel a bit more tonight? Or would you rather stay the night here, and continue in the morning?"

"Personally, I would like to stay the night. But, hey, I'm up for whatever you guys want." Brandon said with a shrug.

"I'd rather stay the night here." Sylas offered. "It'll be better to move on after a good rest."

 

[Lost In The Void]

Duncan shook his head, "I'm sorry you're right, just getting ahead of myself, excited to be on the road again, don't like being in the city too much."

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

"You're a country-boy, at heart, eh?" Magnus asked Duncan. "That's alright. There'll be plenty of time on the road for camping out."

Mark came back from checking Combusken in, and his stern talking too for bringing Combusken back in, in a worn out condition that quickly. "I think I set a new record for fastest recheck-in here," He said to no one in particular. "And I really wouldn't consider Cherrygrove a city more like a small town."

?So, we?re staying here?? Aoife asked, after letting Ruby down to play a few moments ago.

Now, the Pokemon was trying to climb her leg, signalling that she wanted to be picked up. Aoife bent over and swooped up Ruby, cuddling her for a moment. ?You?re spoilt.? She said, laughing.

 

[Aqualung]

Elena looked to Duncan with a cheeky smile. "Country boy, eh? I know how that feels. I'm used to camping out, but if y'all want to sit tight here, I won't object." At her feet, Hermes had finished the pile of treats spread on the ground, and began pecking at her leg. Looking down, she scowled at the bird Pokemon- and their second staring match for domination ensued.

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

"Alright, then." Magnus said aloud to the group. "I guess we're sleeping here tonight. Be sure to get plenty of sleep, guys. We're leaving early tomorrow."

Magnus watched as Hermes and Elena stared each other down with a fierce intensity. Magnus had a feeling that once that little Bird-Pokemon became a Fearow, the stare-downs would be a bit harder to win.

"I take it from your comment, Duncan, that you intend to come with us?" Magnus asked on an assumption.

 

[Lost In The Void]

"Yes I plan to, at least till Azalea Town, hopefully longer though," Duncan wanted to see the whole of Johto, and finally he hopefully was going to.

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

"Fair enough, then. Glad to have you aboard." Magnus checked his watch, and decided that it was time to relax a bit, before heading off to bed in a few hours.

[HEADING=1]Chapter 2: The Road Less Traveled.[/HEADING]

Magnus woke up bright and early at 6 o'clock in the morning. He brushed his teeth, dressed, and went out for a quick walk. The morning air was chilly, but it was comfortable. The sky was still fairly dark, so some of the nocturnal Pokemon were still out and about. The Pokemon that came out only in the morning were out as well.

As Magnus walked, he approached a little coffee-shop and bakery. He stepped inside, and was greeted by the warm, sweet smell of baked goods. The cashier greeted him kindly, and Magnus ordered himself a cup of coffee. He also ordered a few muffins and bagels to bring to his companions. He pulled out his cell-phone, and dialed Brandon's number, hoping that he would pick up.

Brandon's eye's snapped open as he heard his phone ring. "Hello." He mumbled as he answered rubbing the sleep from his eyes.
