For the special tech mission, choose legion.

To lead the special squads, use miranda/jacob/garrus

For the special Biotics job, use Morinth/Samara/Jack

Make sure everybody is loyal and have the ship itself fully upgraded (you don't need the mining upgrade). Easy peasy.

Apparently it is possible to have full survivors with only 4 loyal members but.. have 'em all loyal, just in case. It's easy enough anyway.

A few questions:

Is everyone loyal when you start the mission? And who's dying?

Who do you put where? Who leads the party when you're not there, and who do you keep with you? I've heard that Tali and Mordin can be tricky to keep alive but I've never had problems with them, the two people I lost were because of loyalty; once everyone was loyal I didn't have a problem.

Full upgrades, every loyalty and used paragon and renegade to settle the two big conflicts without losing loyalty. With the little blurb right there it is kind of hard to not figure out who you should send.

This is Tagball's Super-Duper Steps for a complete team!

Here we go: Make Tali your Tech specialist.

Your Team leader should be: Jacob, Garrus or Miranda.

Your Biotic Specialist HAS to be loyal: Either Samara or Jack. Non- Loyal Stupid-ass Samara is how I lost the love of my life, Garrus.

Your escort HAS to be loyal: I used Thane.

Finally, your final two team members HAVE to be loyal.

Everyone needs to be loyal
Buy all the upgrades you can for the ship and your team members

For the Tech specialist, pick Tali, Legion or Kasumi
For the distraction team leader, pick Miranda, Garrus or Jacob
For the Biotic specialist, pick Jack or Samara/Morinth
For the second team leader pick Garrus, Miranda or Jacob again.
Have Mordin escort the survivors
Take Tali with you when you fight the Terminator reaper.
Make sure to leave Garrus, Grunt and Zaeed to hold the line. Take any but those 3, they're the best at holding the line and they work best when they're all together. (Note: You can take one, but if you're unsure about your success rate, leave 'em all.)

It doesn't take that long. I lost half the crew and it was only 2 hours after they got captured.

It doesn't take that long. I lost half the crew and it was only 2 hours after they got captured.

You can only get one planet landing after they get caught, and any additional missions will allow the crew to die.

This is how I did it the second time through (Had a few deaths the first time), I had to look it up online though...

I wasn't sure how long it would take so I threw on some Led Zeppelin and screwed around for a few days...

i've done this twice to perfection, and i mean perfection, and i get to the end where they are on the ship and for some god unkown reason i have one coffin laying there both times on different playthroughs and my whole team and stuff is there so i have no idea who dies and how to save them...=\

its really pissing me off. but oh well.
