You're a moron and you completely missed the point of my post. I was stating Gears has a far better cover and battle system, nothing more. The plot's barely there and while in Mass Effect II the plot Continuity (or rather lack of) isn't great, it's far superiour to Gear's storytelling.
I happen to love bioware, I enjoyed Dragon Age, Baldur's Gate, NWN 1 and 2, Kotor 1 and 2, hell I even liked Sonic Chronicles (which no-one did), I love Mass Effect (won't shut up about it), but they just went and fucked up the sequel in nearly every way possible.
On PC the game was all but broken. So many glitches, the story made no sense in comparison to the first game, the characters weren't as likeable, and they even gutted the length of the game. It was so short and pointless. Hardly any sidequests, You collect your team gain their "loyalty" and then go fight the final boss (which by the way was the most retarded game design I've seen in any game ever).
Umm... So... still not getting why it is your mission to project your opinion on me... Is it that terrible that I think your opinion is just wrong? I'm in the middle of my sixth playthrough and still not going to change my mind.

Probably because you're one of the types of people Bioware catered the sequel to.
I'm going back to my cave to remember how good the first game was.

By that logic I should hate the first one. Are you sure you just don't like it? And all that other stuff is just the way of justifying it to yourself. It is ok to not like something.

I love the first one, but the second one is like Deus Ex Invisible War. They dumbed it down made it more accessible and got rid of the indepth, interesting bits. It's just action action action.
The first had thousands of lines of dialogue, and the morals actually meant something. The sequel, they just fucked everything up. The only remotely decent thing about it was the characters, but they still lacked alot compared to the first game.
