ME3 First Impressions *Spoiler Free*

Thanks for this post. Gives me a little bit of a heads up so I won't be TOO disappointed.

Not sure how I feel about Andersons new "look".
Liara, judging from screenshots, looks fine to me. What don't you like?

Evidently people don't like that she (and all other Asari) are now more detailed than ever before, to the point that you can see individual little scales across their skin giving them a textured look rather than being smooth-skinned like humans.

Well, that's not bad.

Yeah, I got what is considered to be the "best ending". Not a whole lot better than the other two in my opinion.

Is it really that bad/depressing? I don't want to know the specifics, but if I do everything perfectly I'd better get bloodly rewarded for it.

The "good" ending is the best for the galaxy at large imo, but none of the endings are rewarding.

But do I get lots of little blue children?

I hate to break a promise.

If you romance Liara it is likely that she may have become pregnant though depending on your ending you are either dead or you are forever separated by hundreds, if not millions of light-years (its unclear). There is absolutely no real closure for any character beyond Shepard (if he dies).

But I can't read spoilers T_T

I will say that, despite the last 5 minutes of the game sucking ass Liara's romance arc comes full circle and is probably the most convincing and heart-wrenching romances I have ever seen in a video game. They outdid themselves by LIGHTYEARS compared to the romances in the last two games.

The love scene and the final conversation you have with her are fucking awesome.

From what I've experienced so far, the Liara romance is indeed very well played out in this game. I'm really wondering how my Renegade MaleShep's relationship with Ashley will be...of course, he did cheat on her in ME 2 by screwing Miranda's brains out. :3

I was disappointed that Tali was totally cool with me ditching her and going back to Liara. I wanted a cat fight

lol that would have been frickin' sweet! But considering how Liara would just have to break open Tali's face mask, my money would be on the biotic. [

If I were Tali I would've been a bit more pissed off... you know... because THE SEX COULD HAVE KILLED ME YOU HEARTLESS PIG! What can I say? My Shep was a paragon hero... but a renegade lady-killer

So, I just finished Mass Effect 3. I was just starting to enjoy the game more than the previous 2 combined. It was such a blast.

And then the ENDING happened.

I have never felt so violated in my life. Worst way to end...anything! Who does something like that?
All I wanted to do is save the galaxy by killing the Reapers and then celebrate with my crew on The Citadel. What the hell Bioware? Am I supposed to trust you after this? Am I supposed to PAY for DLC after this? Especially a REAL ENDING DLC if you make one? Hell no! You OWE ME for playing every ME game after these endings. I can't believe it. Everything I've accomplished in 3 games, all the choices, heroic acts and sacrifices were for nothing. I'm so depressed right now.

ENDED THE ENTIRE MASS EFFECT UNIVERSE!

And I thought the ending of LOST was bad.

Another thing: these endings feel like they were made for people who didn't play the previous 2 games because there is no way that Bioware could possibly have thought veteran fans will be satisfied with this, unless they're retarded. That's a strong possibility. They are like reversed geth. The more of them there is, the dumber they get.

I don't have the game but my brother picked it up. From what he has told me (spolier free of course) my fears seem to be coming true about this game. He's about a day in and there still is no explianation as to why your suddenly on earth, why or even how your stripped of command and why you have a new normanday, and what the heck even happened to your crew from the second game. These are huge things that should have been thought of before the game came out. Yet they seem to be more focused on just trying to get more sales from non mass effect fans.

He'll tell me later if these questions get answered but right now I'm not liking any of the single player stuff I'm hearing so far and I'm pretty pissed about it.

Well Shepard sacrificed an entire solar system, a mass relay and 300.000 Batarians to delay an imminent reaper invasion in the ME2 Arival dlc story. \ which was supposed to happen just before ME3 events.

Except, I didn't do that at all because I did not buy that DLC (yes, I know they promoted it as a *prequel* to ME3) but If I did not play it, it should not be in my story.

But bioware doesn't seem to care about they story or the choices you've made. They'll just make up their own set ups and you'll just have to live with it.
