missingno
well i guess he counted...
but yeah, the original 150 were great and i can still name each and everyone of them and their type.
my 2 biggest gripes are:
1. theyve changed the numbers on some pokemon.
2. the types dont make sense. (sudowoodo: looks like a fucking tree, but is rock type, thus fire dont do shit)
This post actually made me hit my head against the wall (Really, really gently but still...), but it's really just because I like pokemon too much I guess...

All the same...

1) Missingno did NOT count as he is a glitch that appears when a pokemon appears that is not supposed to, hence its pictures being question marks or the ghost from RBY that you met in Pokemon Tower before you got the Silph Scope. Also if you haven't worked it out: Missingno = Missing Number
Missingno exists because the code for Pokemon numbers starts at 000[ - however, the game starts at 001 for Bulbasaur. The game doesn't know what to put for 000, hence it's appearancea and moveset.
I heard the actual story is that Marrowack was supposed to evolve into Khangasan, but they decided against it at the last minute, which is why when Missingo evolves it becomes a Khangasan.

I want my first generation pokemon poster back. So I'm never reminded of the generations after.

Nintendo is really running out of ideas. I really hope all the other new pokemon don't look like combinations of old pokemon.

I get what your saying bu the quality hasn't diminished. I may be just a fanboy, but the games have gotten much better and deeper these past few years. Simplicity isn't always a good thing.

Either way, I suspect people are complaining simply because they want to complain about something. If pokemon had done what these people SAY that they wanted, stayed at 151, but continued doing sequels, people would complain that there were no new pokemon.

TL;DR People are complaining because they want something to ***** about.

*sigh*
at least it doesn't look as stupid as most of the pokemon in diamond/pearl/platinum.

I have no idea how kids can remember every one of these things. Even when I was a little younger and in to the original pokemon I struggled remembering 151..

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-

Seriously, the new ones that are cute are really just fat and the 'scary/intimidating' ones are just black and red with random objects jutting out the pokemon making it look like it's very uncomfortable. Also dongs.

<quote=Kotaku>Generation 1: Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow
Generation 2: Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal
Generation 3: Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald
Generation 4: Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum
Generation 5: Whatever is next.
Generation 5: Uranium, Plutonium, and Ununoquium?

On topic: this is getting way out of hand. Or at least the last generation was. From what I've heard, wasn't there a double-digit number of legendaries, not counting previous generations? Also, they raised the bar way too high with this so called "god" pokemanz.

Jeez, what ever happened to the (Classic Element)+ (Spanish Number) system, featuring Mewtwo?

5th genaration... just put all the first genaration pokemon into the game, kid's these day's won't know most of them anyway.

I my mind there is only love for genaration 1, 2 and 3(it should of stopped there).

I do'nt even want to think about the T.V show where ash is still 10 and (I'm presuming) has 100+ pokemon.

Has there been more than one of the ANNUAL pokemon leagues?(like 2 Jhoto leagues)

All the introduction of new pokemon fails to distract me from the fact that whatever quality the franchise may at one point have possessed has long since bled out of it.
