Doesn't look that unique

It looks like some form of mutated Vulpix, it's evolved form resembles some form of hybrid between Lucario, Sneasel (The stance), and a Ninetails with a dye job.

What does Zoroark even mean? Their names used to mean things, now it seems like they are just taking two completely unrelated things and mashing them together to name the Pokemon
Zor[r]o and [the] Ark

It's a step forward I guess, but overall I don't like it much.
Well, Zoro means Fox in Spanish, I think. I'm not so sure about the ark bit though.
zorro....ark..

zorodark

zoroark
..

oh CHRIST

Eh. I liked the reveal pokemon for other gens better. They're getting lazy in pokemon design. But they aren't getting lazy with the games. The games improve on each other in fantastic ways.

Poor Ash, everytime he gets close to catching them all some new ones pop out of nowhere and a new island comes into play, and the old ones seemingly ALWAYS had this pokemon also. Pokemon was at it's Highest in red and blue. Then too many came to care about.

When I was a young'un, there were only 151 Pokemon and we had to hike several miles each day through dense forests populated with Weevils and Caterpies and dodgy effeminate bug catchers in extremely short shorts until we finally got the ability to fly from town to town after much sweat and blood on our part! And don't even get me started on Team Rocket!

150. Mew wasn't catchable.

Meh. Its a Pokemon game. I'll buy it. Will I enjoy the new Pokemon? Will they replace my Scizor and MewTwo. Something tells me no...

They're still inventing more Pokemon?

*cracks upon the champagne* CELEBRATION TIME!

Anyway, I love pokémon games, I always have, but they're milking it a tad, are they not?

I hated the pokemon contests and accompanying and worthless berry smoothie crap that they added in the third generation. And they took away night and day and your mom holding your money. And they took away building your own pokeballs.

The third generation scrapped everything that made the 2nd great.

I must respectfully disagree with you. I haven't played the 4th though, maybe it rectified the glowing drop of quality between 2 and 3.

Maaan. It's already new generation time? I'm still not done getting them all in Platinum, let alone HG/SS.
Though the fact I'm hearing about it here insted of the Pokemon site I used to go to says alot.
I'll inevitably buy the games, even if I stopped caring about the anime as anything short of a source of new pokemon revels.

I forget, this generation will push us into 500 won't it?

Looks like a fire/dark type, pretty cool although I'll stick with my usual squad of Gen. 1 pokemon.

I'm gonna go with Zo-roar-k. and speaking of unpronouncable names, It took me 8 years to find out how to pronounce "Suicune" (apparantly it's "swee-coon") me and my friends called it "Sookinine" up until sometime last year. All because I had refused to watch Pokemon 4 Ever because of it's stupid spelling.

missingno
well i guess he counted...
but yeah, the original 150 were great and i can still name each and everyone of them and their type.
my 2 biggest gripes are:
1. theyve changed the numbers on some pokemon.
2. the types dont make sense. (sudowoodo: looks like a fucking tree, but is rock type, thus fire dont do shit)

Game Freak appears to now be scraping the bottom of the barrel.

However, as long as it makes money...

I think I've seen that thing before.
Eevee and all of its evolutions
Vulpix
Lucario

They have really lost their creativity.
Well, the furries will like it. I can already picture the new batch of 34. ugh.
Now that you put that thought into my head please kill me.

that shit sucked. But Diamond and Pearl brought back Night/Day. And the contests still suck.

But the battles are much better.

The original had a thing where if you were in the town with the water gym, and you went across the bridge to one of the trainers in some grass on the other side, and pressed start just as he caught you, you could have Abra use teleport, and when you went back outside Mew would be on the bridge.

Plus there was always the secret area.
