When I was a young'un, there were only 151 Pokemon and we had to hike several miles each day through dense forests populated with Weevils and Caterpies and dodgy effeminate bug catchers in extremely short shorts until we finally got the ability to fly from town to town after much sweat and blood on our part! And don't even get me started on Team Rocket!

The original had a thing where if you were in the town with the water gym, and you went across the bridge to one of the trainers in some grass on the other side, and pressed start just as he caught you, you could have Abra use teleport, and when you went back outside Mew would be on the bridge.

Plus there was always the secret area.

For a longtime pokemon fanatic it really hurts to see the posterchild of the 5th generation and not really like it... Hope the story and stuff will make up for it...

It's a dark type, like it's prevo, it's the Evil Fox pokemon.

Prevo name's going to be Zorua, at 0,7 metres and 12.5 kilo's, the evo is Zoroark, 1,6 metres and 81.1 kilo's. TY CoroCoro/Serebii.

Ability's coming next month, along with some more new ones. Hope those blow my socks of...

You mean that thing were if you had a friend trade you a pokemon with cut (I actually caught a wild Paras that knew it once) so you didn't have to ride the ferry, then if you came back and used surf you could find a truck?

Looks cool, and actually refreshingly straightforward compared to a lot of later pokemon (Lolwut Deoxys). But I do agree that Pokemon design started circling the drain somewhere in generation 3, even though it had some cool designs. 1 and 2 kicked ass, and some of 3 was good, and then good christ. Generation 4 made me sad. Here's why.

No you had to get a pokemon with cut and surf to cinnibar island using an even number of steps once you get onto the shore and teleport back to the city closest to the ferry and use a machoke level 100 in front of the truck and it will push it and you will find a master ball with mew inside.

Dear God, at a certain point people have to realize when to stop. I mean I have played them on and off randomly to fill the cracks between releases and end boredom but after gold and silver the pokemon designs just got repetative and boring. Rereleasing gold and silver is cool and hopefully the fifth generation wont be as crappy as the 3rd and 4th.

Gen 4. was more than good. But you can stop with the new Pokemon now, and just focus on making the games themselves better and better.

From looking at it and the name of the upcoming movie, i think its safe to say is going to be a Dark/Fire type.

Serebii.net has it listed as pure dark, according to the scans.
And if it's dark fire, it better be badass, because Houndoom is still one of the best pokemon of all time.

but yeah, the original 150 were great and i can still name each and everyone of them and their type.
my 2 biggest gripes are:
1. theyve changed the numbers on some pokemon.
2. the types dont make sense. (sudowoodo: looks like a fucking tree, but is rock type, thus fire dont do shit)

This post actually made me hit my head against the wall (Really, really gently but still...), but it's really just because I like pokemon too much I guess...

All the same...

1) Missingno did NOT count as he is a glitch that appears when a pokemon appears that is not supposed to, hence its pictures being question marks or the ghost from RBY that you met in Pokemon Tower before you got the Silph Scope. Also if you haven't worked it out: Missingno = Missing Number

2) Or 1... The numbers remain the same but the new gen games dont include all pokemon in the main game hence re-order so as to not leave big gaps whilst youre playing. After getting the National Dex you can switch the order back to normal.

3) THAT'S THE GOD DAMN POINT OF SUDOWOODO! GAH! Also, insulting Sudowoodo isn't allowed as he was introduced in the GSC gen. AKA The best gen. Hence given awesome shield.
