My favourite genre is Melodic Death Metal. Favourite MDM band is The Duskfall, which i found from the game The Darkness. They have that death metal...ness...yet they still manage to have an incredibly awesome tune and not simply mashing the same cords out every few seconds until the guitar solo.

Not really. I can assure you that all the NON-Norwegian stuff is far scarier.

I really just relaying this considering I've never actually looked for or really listened to any Norwegian Black Metal. I always hear these crazy stories.

It's true, they were batshit insane back then. The music itself? Not so much. Although it's pretty bloody fun to listen to.

I listen to it every morning to get me out of bed.

Yea, I get told that everytime I fess up to liking Slipknot. I like other stuff too, In Flames, Man O War, Amon Amarth, Cannibal Corpse, Mastodon, Metallica, Quiet Riot. As long as metal is somewhere in the genre description, its good with me.

I love a lot of metal, nothing of the new variety (usually ending in core with the exception of Nu-metal). I listen to a lot of thrash, death, power, progressive(kinda like power sometimes). I really don't know which is my favourite but I will post one of if not my absolute favourite song(s).


This album is a fucking masterpiece.

(Opeth is also notable as probably my favourite band)

Mathcore, math metal, basically anything that's insanely technical. Or any of the more melodic styles, like most metalcore, melodic death metal, etc.

Favorite bands? Uh... Between The Buried And Me, Scar Symmetry, In Flames, Meshuggah, The Human Abstract, Protest The Hero, Animals As Leaders, and Breaking Benjamin who are more nu metal or grunge metal, but still good because of their melodic-ness.

I like Power Metal, Symphonic Metal and the more melodic parts of extreme metal (Amon Amarth, Arch Enemys newer stuff, symphonic songs of Dimmu Borgir). In short, I like most melodic metal.

Some of my favourites are Amon Amarth, Arch Enemy and Blind Guardian but my all time favourite band is Sonata Arctica. I love them. I just love them. Really, I listen to them so much that I don't listen enough to all my other bands.

I love Melodic and Symphonic Death Metal, Gothic Metal, and some underground Industrial Metal. I really don't like the mainstream stuff though. Nearly every band I like, no-one's heard of.
Check these dudes out: Into Eternity, Scar Symmetry, Norther, Dominia, Eternal Tears of Sorrow, Shade Empire, D Creation, Charon, For My Pain, Deadlock, Turmion Kätilöt, Evergrey. Oh, and Death, but they're not particularly underground. I don't think so, anyway.
Obviously they aren't the -only- bands I like, but they're some of my favourites.

I would say something along the lines of "Come onto my youtube channel (on my profile) and see if you like any bands I've put up", but I'd probably get accussed of advertising.
Still, you can look if you want.
