Metal Gear and the Xbox 360...what's the big deal?

This is what I don't get. The other day someone said that Home was garbage and they took out their dust covered PS3 for nothing. I don't get it. Not only do we have exclusives like Motorstorm,Uncharted, LBP, Heavenly Sword, Resistance and Ratchet and Clank we basically have just about everything that the Xbox 360 has. What is this nonsense about having nothing to play. What about Fallout 3, Prince of Persia,COD4,Bioshock, Deadspace, Farcry 2 and everything else in between. What is it, just because you can't play Gears of War 2 or Halo 3 you can't find anything else? Killzone 2 looks like it is going to Kick @ss and you are still wondering about Gears of War?
Is that how you play games? Do you play Ratchet and think about how you could be playing Super Mario Galaxy? Do you play Resistance 2 and think about how you could be playing Gears of War 2? Or play Singstar while thinking about Xbox's Lips? If so it is no wonder no one could ever enjoy their games on the PS3. You are to busy looking over your shoulder at what everyone else is playing.

There are great exclusives on both the 360 and PS3, hence why I will buy a PS3 when the price drops. (eventually) as at my college the majority own PS3's.
The whole hate on Playstation 3 is based in the early hype machine that Sony put out. Think about it, how could you not ridicule a company that thought you'd buy the system regardless of cost, set the original price point at a wallet breaking $600 US, claim it was the best console ever when in reality it has identical if not INFERIOR graphics than the 360, force you to use that stupid Sixaxis controller, show a bullshit trailer saying THIS IS WHAT THE PS3 CAN DO! (to cutscenes) and then have maybe one good game to play when it comes out.
The 360 is the same as the PS2 was last gen, nearly every non-first-party game that hadn't alreday came out for it would eventually. I think the reason Sony fanboys are pissed is that it's not them anymore.
