Metal Gear and the Xbox 360...what's the big deal?

I honestly don't care, I found the game to be rather mediocre when I played it on a friend's console. But to answer your question, I agree, PS3 owners have been holding out for good exclusives, looking at their console as a long term investment, but with FFXIII turning, LittleBigPlanet and MGS4 are the only (allegedly) good exclusives they have

White Knight Chronicles, inFamous, The Ratchet and Clank series, FFXIII Versus.
There is more but I honestly can't be to arsed to go check.

It's for two reasons.

360 fanboy's don't particularly care for Metal Gear, they just want some sort of proof that the PS3 is inferior and will die, because that's what Fanboys are like they WANT hardworking people to lose their jobs.

PS3 Fanboys (And regular fans can fit in this themselves) Get pissed because said 360 fans sound like whiny immature little bitches.

Seriously. Read that back to yourself. Then start complaining about fanboys again. The irony is delicious.

I must say I find resistance 2 quite a mediocre game(excluding 64 online lagless matches which is awesome and I'm gonna get it soon only for that reason) but I find some elements that have been ripped off games..such as the half shield which looks like the halo bubble shield, the zombies which look like half-stogginized humans from quake 4 and the big enemies look like a bit like boomers from gears of war and I never liked the first one anyway I'm one of those scarce persons that like cod4 damage system

If we're going by that sort of tenuos link, Gears ripped of GTA: Vice City completely.

He forgot to mention the 'marksman' which was Halo's battle rifle with a secondary fire.

And it ripped of Quake 4 like a mother fucker.

If they made a MGS4 for 360 with achievements they would probably add trophies for the ps3 version. I think i might be ok with this move. Everybody gets more MGS and I get more reasons to replay it (and a reward for having beat The Boss Extreme mode).

I think we're getting a patch for trophies for everything anyway come January - hopefully they'll be creative about it, and not just assign a value to the titles.

So the marksman isnt a ripoff with a little extra added...hum, sounds like every shooter ever made.

I read Kojima hasn't actually officially denied the rumours yet, so that generally means a "yes, but sometime in the distant future" in the business world. A Japanese news story also claimed they were "looking into" porting it, but there's always a problem with translation in Japanese news stories so treat it with scepticism.
Anyone else finding it delightful that all these fanboys are getting in a tizz over such an average game? What is it with exclusives anyway, I mean you can still play it on your chosen console so why start frothing at the mouth when a company tries to make a bit of cash off their franchise?

I think it would be awesome if they gave trophys just for doing random things eg killed 50% of all enemys in they game while shouting out royal rainbow evertytime you saw a blood effect then took on the last boss only using a newspaper acquired only by going through the secret hell level and beating the devil at a fiddle contest.

Not really, they didnt have trophies for COD4. Unless theyve made them recently.

Not really, they didnt have trophies for COD4. Unless theyve made them recently.

I dont know what playstation owners your listening too, but i hear complaints about 360 exclusives all the time. What you have to understand is when they call a game on the 360 that actually looks fun complete crap or "a halo clone", it is more often than not because they are jealous. What im trying to get at is that the whole jealousy statement can be said for any of the systems owners.
