Fucking love metal!
I listen a shit load but some of my favourite S.O.A.D(greatest band ever), Metallica, Opeth, Mastodon, Dream Theater, Slayer, Soundgarden, Rammstein.
Ah beauteful music....
I have a question for you: best Opeth album?
Oh man...
That's like asking which arm I like best.
Still Life and Ghost Reveries have great stories to them. Blackwater Park is just a masterpiece. Damnation is fuckin beautiful, I go to sleep with that album. But Watershed has the perfect balance of balls to the wall metal and acoustic awesomeness.
I can't choose =|
Well, as a guitar player i understand the pressure of choosing between arms :/ haha

I still don't have Still Life, I need to get it, but I can't find it anywhere :/ I'd say Blackwater Park and Deliverance are among best, but I've found myself shifting through them, one moment I love one album, then I love another, and another etc. They are all good
ah same here buddy =P
I love pretty much all their stuff, except the earlier stuff. This happens to me a lot, I just can't stand some older metal cause the sound quality just hurts my ears =\

I like pretty much every sub-genre of metal I have heard, but my particularly favourite metal bands are:
Iron Maiden
Metallica
Dream Theater
Sabaton
Rage Against the Machine
Nirvana
Motley Crue
Alestorm (yarrgh!)
Slipknot
Motorhead

And that is but the tip of the iceberg.

Oh, and I get to see the Big 4 (that is Metallica, Anthrax, Megadeth and Slayer) and Slipknot at Sonisphere Festival UK next year! Wooooooh!

I'm not a fan of anything before MAYH really, some of it is good but still unlistenable

I own two Iron Maiden shirts, so I guess I have to post here...

Current favorite metal songs? Well...
Shit quality, but you can tell what's happening.

I love the production on this song(and the whole album this came from) You can hear all of the instruments perfectly. No unnecessary low-end has been added to anything.

Blows the Ozzy version out of the water(Lemmy originally wrote this, so it makes sense)

Woo! Finally something that not everyone knows!
Also, they are absolutely brutal live! :D

But yeah, im more of a Doom / Melo Death person these days.

Swallow the Sun, Insomnium (melo death), The Foreshadowing (brilliantly atmospheric), Summoning (tolkien inspired black metal, awesome atmosphere), Black Sun Aeon, Void of Silence.

I used to listen to more.. generally known bands like:
Amorphis (awesome live aswell!) Kalmah, Machinae Supremacy, Dagoba, Anaal Nathrakh, Scar Symmetry, Wintersun, The Haunted.

But I started with power, mainly Sonata Arctica, Dragonland, Blind Guardian, Rammstein, Children of Bodom, Nightwish, Within Temptation, Arch Enemy, Die Apokalyptische Reiter.

And many more. I think my last.fm is linked to my profile aswell. But look for Yggdrassil over there.

And by the way, anyone going to Summer-breeze 2011?

I have two awesome songs for you:
"Ravenous" and "Ties that bind"
And i also strongly recomment the two bands:
"Arch enermy" and "In flames"

quoted from nathan explosion:(Said in growl)
You can get half of nooothing
What bands are those songs by?

As for bands, I'm not a massive fan of In Flames, but a friend showed me some Arch Enemy and they're pretty awesome
Ravenous is done by Arch Enemy but the other one, I'm not too sure though it sounds familiar.

But anyway here some Thrash
