Um... Has anyone in this thread even tried meth, or do you all just watch "intervention" and "faces of meth" all day? Well guess what kiddies, I've tried it, and it ain't that bad. Didn't get hooked, didn't claw my eyeballs out, and actually had a stellar time! Maybe someone with an addictive personality would get hooked, but some of us can just do it and have some fun with minimal harm done to our bodies, and people like me don;t like being punished for some idiot that can't stop using.
Thank you so much, it's a breath of fresh air to see someone looking at drugs with an attitude other then 'BAN THEM BAN THEM BAN THEM'. Just as I said in the 'Should Obama legalize it' thread about marijuana, perhaps governments should stop treating us like children and give us the responsibility to know when to draw the line.
If you don't like drugs, that's fine, don't take them, but those of us that do would prefer that you let us do them in peace.
srry dude, that's just retarded...if we gave people the responsibility of choosing for themselves they would start raping and murdering wildly. maybe not everyone is stupid, but the vast majority of people are utterly hopeless. Meth is bad because people who use it habitually inevitably end up fucking other people over to get their fix. I've seen it more than once. In my opinion, anything is ok until someone else gets hurt by it. Meth numbs people, they stop caring about others, and they end up hurting people who love them. YOU are more than welcome to use meth, but the second you steal something from me to feed your addiction, I am going to shoot you. (i dont literally mean YOU, but anybody doing drugs)
I have no problem with punishment for people who directly harm or steal from others, but if I was to, say, create meth with a fourth-year chemistry student in university and then use it, have a little fun, but break no laws (except the drug ones), develop no addiction and not hurt anyone, what's the harm? Well big surprise, I've done this. Self-control, I have always said, is the key. I just find it somewhat offense that the government deems it their right to tell me what I can do with my own body.
Trust me, if a junkie was trying to rob me, I'd respond violently as well.
