I want to punch his face into a bloody mess of what looks like raw, tooth-riddled hamburger.

The biggest problem with Michael Cera was that after Arrested Development he was pretty much typecast into that role, Scott Pilgrim was probably the farthest he's ever been from his normal roles but for god sake I'd like to see him in one movie where he played something at least partly different.

On the note of the second question my list goes.
1. Arrested Devlopment
2. Superbad/Juno
3. Scott Pilgrim

The only problem I had with Scott Pilgrim was that he still plays himself more then Scott.

I feel that since Youth in Revolt and Scott Pilgrim, Cera has been starting to break the akward lonely goody guy role for a more...Revoltish attitude. I loved him in YiR as his ego, their conversations wonderful and the best part of the movie, and in SP he was a jerk, selfish and likeably hateabley loveable. I feel like it's more casting that acting, because when they look for that role they use him, but I think that as he grows as an actor he'll break from that role into a more adult actor. Everyone starts somewhere, and he's got a pretty good record so far

I don't mind him, but I wish Hollywood would put him in another role. He has the Nolan North conundrum: he plays one role so well that Hollywood just pigeon holes him into that. I'm sure he would do fine in another personality, but Hollywood must not give him the chance. Maybe when he stops looking like a teenager he can get some interesting roles.

Good in Arrested Development and Superbad.

Crap in everything leading up to Scott Pilgrim.

I have no problem with him. He's typecast to play a specific role, one that he pulls off pretty well. Of all the things he's been in I've only seen Superbad and Arrested Development. I loved Superbad yet I hate Arrested Development with a passion, so I suppose that makes me neutral towards him. That's a little unfair on him, though, because my dislike of Arrested Development isn't due to him but more to do with me not finding anything funny about the show whatsoever.

Michael Cera, you win my complete indifference award!

I think Michael Cera is a good actor but people need to quit casting him as the geeky and shy character in films and cast him as a different character. In Scott Pilgrim he seems to be let out of that typecast role a bit but still kinda plays the same character.

He is great at what hes done and the roles he has been given. I'm glad they gave him the role for Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World because I can't really think of anybody else. I actually enjoyed the movie a whole lot and he serves his purpose in all of his movies.

The only things I've seen him in are Arrested Development (which is one of the greatest shows I've ever seen) and Scott Pilgrim, which I'll sum up my opinion of simply by stating that I've seen it twice this week. Yeah, Michael Cera plays really similar characters in everything he's in, but look at him, what else can he do? He can't really bulk up for a role, trust me, I'm built a lot like him. Guys like us can get toned, but we're always pretty skinny.

The problem with this guy is he doesn't actually act, he's just himself, granted, he is a very awkward person and it's easier to be yourself than to act. And if you disagree, watch or listen to any interview of him.

Just like Stallone is the macho guy in everything with that voice of his, the same thing in real life.

Simple Question. He's been in a whole bunch of movies lately, some good, some not. Either way, it's becoming extensive. Check out this incomplete list:
-ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT!!!!11one
-Superbad
-Juno
-Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist
-Year One
-Youth in Revolt
-Scott Pilgrim vs. the World

Also what do you think was his best role?

EDIT: BTW, did any of you like him in Arrested Development? That show was the greatest.
Let's see,
Arrested Development - One of the best and funniest shows I have ever seen; he was great in that (so was everyone else, but I digress).
Superbad - Kind of a "meh" movie, but he was okay in it, I guess.
Juno - It was alright; he left absolutely no impression on me, though (did he even have ten minutes of screen time?).
Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist - Haven't seen it; seemed pretty Juno-ish.
Year One - Haven't seen it; heard it sucked; he seemed like he did a pretty standard role.
Youth in Revolt - I vaguely recall seeing a trailer and thinking the concept could potentially be funny, but I can't say anything more in-depth
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World - This movie is fucking awesome and everyone ever needs to see it and Cera did a pretty damn good job as Scott Pilgrim and managed to avoid the "awkward teen" pitfall he seems to end up in a lot.

For the most part, I'm not a fan, but then again, it may be because he tends to get cast in the sort of movies I hate. Scott Pilgrim changed all that, and while I'm not about to add him to my list of I-will-see-anything-with-this-person-in-it actors, maybe now I'll give him a second look.

Yeah, it was that good, and he was that good in it.
