Michael Cera: What do you think of him?

He's not my favorite actor, that's for sure. But, he's alright. Hell, one of my favorite movies is Superbad. I just wish he'd do another role besides the "awkward teenager". That stuff got old a long time ago.

I haven't seen many of his movies so I have no strong feelings one way or the other.

Mind you I saw Scott Pilgrim the other week, he was perfect in the role.

Why do people hate him so much? I like him. I found him rather humorous in Year One...but my sense of humour isn't exactly normal.

I loved that movie. It was hysterical.

I don't hate him as much as the rest of the world seems to. Sure he specializes in the role of the 'awkward teenager' but you know what if the script calls for it then why not use it. He was okay as the secondary to Ellen Page in Juno and his awkward friendly nature alongside the perverted and mean Jonah Hill in Superbad made him a joy to watch.
And I really liked him in Scott Pilgrim V.S the World. He was genuinely entertaining in that movie because he had me cheering him on one minute then booing him for his idiocy the next.

So yeah, over all I think he's okay.

Over-rated guy. He's just a regular schmuck, who works hard acting like even more of a schmuck/tool. Only movie I've ever found him as decent is Superbad.

I hold nothing against him. Each time some new kid shows up in town, like Justin Bieber, and gets popular, suddenly everyone holds a grudge against that person. The media always makes a big deal about some celebrity, and then people get annoyed. So my point is that, media and jealousy or other personal reasons is the main reason for all the hate..

Haven't watched the movie yet, i'll consider it, if I can afford it :/

Never saw him acting, but I want to laugh every time I see his face (in a bad way). He just looks like an amazing cross between the most clumsy, pathetic person in the world with a complete douchebag.

Hes WAAAAY better than Jonah Hill (his 'buddy' in Superbad who is also in many more movies with minor roles) i think he sux...

He's not bad, but I like Jason Bateman more.

Sure he's typecast as the awekward teen, but as others have said, he does the role quite well. Nobody's really given him a chance to act in other roles, so we don't really have much of a basis for comparison.
