Agreed. If you save your points, MS is only making the most of about $3 off of each person in the end, if you think about it. I'm pretty sure anyone can make $3 looking for money on the sidewalks...The Bandit said:Here's a thought: Don't waste your points. hurr durr Just because you HAVE them, doesn't mean you have to spend them. I'm not taking up for Microsoft. It's a shitty system, but you're letting yourself be exploited by putting points on picture packs. : / Save them, eventually they'll accumulate and you'll be able to buy something worth buying.
The X-Box is the most wasteful PoS IMO, seriously having to pay just to play online, damn rippoff :S5stringedbandit said:Soon they will be making you pay for oxygen around the X-box... greedy mofos

I have like 67 just sitting in mine (I'm a Zune user)Jirlond said:I mean if you but enough points you will have leftovers to eventually get something else. I have 200 points in my account for the last 6 months
Tell that to the WOW players who pay $15 a month for ONE GAME. At least paying for Xbox Live covers every 360 game, and it's much cheaper than $15 a month!RicoADF said:The X-Box is the most wasteful PoS IMO, seriously having to pay just to play online, damn rippoff :S5stringedbandit said:Soon they will be making you pay for oxygen around the X-box... greedy mofos
I got the Hitman4 rubber ducky picture because of this. What the hell else was I supposed to do with 20 points? The console doesn't exactly have a bubble gum dispenser. Especially funny since now I'm just using the free avatar thing.ohgodalex said:It's a money thing. You're left with a small quantity of points, so shit like Gamer Pictures and Themes suddenly become extremely attractive prospects.
/has purchased gamer pictures from Dead Rising due to this very phenomenon.
So does your 360. I'm always a tad sceptical about systems that use any method of currency other than "real" money. There is of course the aforementioned leftover points issue, but I also feel it's a handy way to disguise the true value of some of the items you download.Gerazzi said:I don't care, PS3 has dollars and change system.
BUT THEY KEEP YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER.
Greedy asses.
Agreed, although it's slightly annoying that I'll put 10$ in for a game that's 9.95$ and have that 5 cents just staring at me forever >.<megapenguinx said:I never liked the points on the Wii or 360. I liked PSN's method of only putting in the amount you're actually going to use.
