I really like it, especially the way the biomes look like now.
I spent hours, trying to explore an abandoned mineshaft, those things are just huge.
But I do wish that the experience bar would have a use and that villages would have NPC living in them. I guess I have to wait for the next update for that.

Glad I made my mobtrap too small for endermen to spawn or else I would be raging from them dismantling it.

So I'm curious, is the food bar purely for healing when you are above 80% or are there negative effects for starving yourself as well?

Thanks to Creative mode, I was finally able to construct my evil supervillain lair inside of a mountain with a giant skull that cries lava as the entrance.

I LOVE it!

Yeah it's pretty good, i have had much of a chance to play it. did a little multiplier with my friend and and pretty sure he left the door open and a creeper got it and house in missing a large chunk. But after some serious rebuilding, the ender men are pretty cool.

Massively enjoying the survival single player, but survival multiplayer became unplayable because of the experience orb lag problem. Haven't really done much in creative mode yet.

I think I'm one of the few people who completely hates this update because I can now no longer play it.

Notch took out the fog option which was really the only way the game was playable for me without having to go into the settings and his reason for it was "It was on the F key and didn't fit". I only get about 3 frames per second now so it's become rather impossible to play.

Now I hate self untitled gamers as much as the next guy, but my piece of shit lab top cannot run that game without having the fog option. And the reason he took it out really adds insult to injury.

Seriously, 1.8 dropped my frame rate from 300 to 120. That is inexcusable.
Glad I'm not the only one noticing that problem.

The focus switch from building to dungeon crawling RPGish hybrid... thing annoys me. At least there's creative but I'm still disappointed.

The fog option is still there. Its in the in-game settings. The only thing different is that the hot key F doesn't control it now.

I'm enjoying it as WHAT DO YOU MEAN I CAN'T CONNECT TO THE INTERNET? THIS IS BULLSHIT I'M OBVIOUSLY CONNECTED NOW, RIGHT?

So, I'll let you know whenever that gets straightened out.

EDIT: Ahh, there we go. About to try it out now.

Yeah, I mentioned it (though re-reading what I said I phrased it extremely bad). It's just gotten to the point where the only way I can kinda play the game is by turning fog all the way up, but that kind of ruins some of the new natural sights that are added to the game because you literally can't see anything that's more than 20 blocks ahead of you.

Having it on the hot key made it so that I could keep adjusting it whenever I was in an area my computer could handle.

I'd like it more if I could get into my building world. I know its 28 mb's and all but that shouldn't be a reason for it to just not want to load up, no add ons either.

Aside from that, I dislike the hunger bar as well. Mainly because there's now nothing that will recover health immediately like food did (that I know of.) I know you regen with a full bar and all but still, I'd love to have some potions or something.

Fun though, I've slaughtered 5 Endermen so far.

i liked the ide of haveing the villages abonded it still gives the you the only person hear feel but it then adds some eerrieness to the game being like was someone here before and why did he move from the village?

My experience? Disappointing. I mean, we're beta testing the game and all, but there was so much hype that what we got was a huge letdown. Half the changes don't even work, and I feel the health bar regenerates waaaaay too slow with a full hunger bar. Possibly the ability to brew health potions in the future? Potion making sounds like it would be great with all the different ingredients there are.

Also it crashes like a mother fucker, but I hear that's because I have 32 bit Java, not 64 bit (which is now fixed).

A little less hype for the amount of content in 1.8 would have been nice... oh well, waiting for 1.9 now.

I always played Minecraft for the building part of it, when they kept making the game more and more like an RPG and less like a glorified-lego set, it made me not want to play i. Now with creative mode, i'm having gret fun just building everything i can think o without any restriction, the flying is just a bonus.

Creative mode with enemies is such a strange experience. The only mobs you actually worry about are creepers, since they still explode and wreck your buildings, but the rest just feel like a mob of fans that all want your autograph. But then you jump out of the crowd and fly away into the distance, like an anti-social Superman.
