As for me, honestly everyone had already said what I'm thinking of in regard or some flaws/ plotholes in the series mainly how Shing Armour appear out of nowhere (but I guess this is more of Hasbro fault shoving in a new toy character) and CMC keep forgetting the previous lessons/ moral. Also no I'm not against with the Derpy thing, in fact I'm in favour of it!

My only real pet peeve is the obligatory end-of-episode something-that-could-be-construed-as-vaguely-amusing-happens-so-let's-all-have-a-group-laugh. I can take the moralizing, but not that. Makes me cringe.

What, you don't like the Everypony Laughs endings [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/EverybodyLaughsEnding]?

Well, *I* just linked you to TVTropes, so now you're screwed! Haha!

Fluttershy now slipping to opposite polarities. One being completely scared and than trying to be more assertive and things going rather badly.

Pretty much just compare S1 to S2 and theres quite a noticeable change.

Than theres the way Twilight treats Spike. Ya he's your assistant but he's not a robot. Yes theres times she shows she cares but a lot og the time Twilight comes of as being a bossy jerk. The reason Twilight is my least favorite mane-6.

It's nice that she didn't mean to say that faith was more important than scientific skepticism, but that doesn't mean they didn't screw it up and say exactly that, whatever their attempts were.

There's plenty of sexual tension between us bronies, we all want to get in one another's pants

Oh wait, did you mean ponies?

I dislike the cloppers of the fandom and I dislike that Applejack and Rainbow Dash's elements of harmony are clearly the wrong way round (RD is painfully honest, AJ lies all the damn time)

In medias res
But it's the first book in the series, imagine if a book series started like that. No body would read it, even if it was somehow explained in the next few books.
Also, that doesn't explain my other point, the statue that apparently gives people world-conquering powers.
Why wouldn't they?
If the characters sound good enough, and action is entertaining enough, ponies would keep reading it.
Heck, i've started plenty of book series from the middle (Malazan Books of the Dead for example), and then gone from there, and reading the first book last.

Also, i doubt we got even half of the book (RD probably skipped most of it).

Filly witch, your weblinks can not harm me.

I've been to TVTropes so many times that I've pretty much read most of the stuff that'd interest me.

That Fluttershy one's called character development. She's grown more assertive, but also learned not to do those to the extremes (which is the things going rather badly part).

Here's a challange, go to fimfiction.net, click on a random story on the front page. If it's not a self inserted alicorn sex fan-fic then you win!

The Daring Doo Book.
The sequences with Daring Doo ticked me right off.
So this is the first book in the serious, correct?
Why does it start with the character in the middle of the jungle, with no mention as to why or how, and then when the temple is revealed the character has apparently being searching for it for months and... wait what?
Oh, a villain... wait, how does Daring know who this is?
Where is the context?
WHY WOULD OWNING A STATUE GIVE THE VILLAIN THE ABILITY TO RULE THE WORLD?
WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?
I know it's story within a story and probably wouldn't have been given much attention but my god did it annoy me.
I'm pretty sure she opened the book half way through anyway, if you pay close attention. :p

OT: The CMC, just in general. They just grate on me for some reason. That's all I can think of really. xD

Yes well that doesn't mean it was done to well (My opinion on some of it), or that I have to like it. (Again only some).

Okay, if you are being sarcastic hahah! But if not...then you should really really really go see a certain movie called Raiders of the Lost Ark. As you may know, it starts off with our hero in the jungle with no mention to why and how and he has been searching for this temple for months. Then when he finally gets the item the villain appears and takes it away...so yeah..I guess Indiana Jones is not your cup of tea.

The writers can't seem to decide on a personality for Rainbow Dash. In some episodes she's pretty cool, while in others she goes full on jerk jock/attention whore.

Also, the "Dear Princess Celestia: The moral of this episode was..." endings are pretty cringe-worthy.

Eh, I'm not a huge fan of the episodes that center around the Cutie Mark Crusaders. I understand that's their shtick: bumbling around while trying to forcibly earn their cutie marks, but after they fail to realize that they all 3 had a chance to get it during the talent show episode, I just grew incredibly weary of them. They all chose to do what they WANTED to do, not what they were good at. As such, they were the laughing stock of the talent show...and were it not for everyone assuming they were trying to be a comedy act and not a rock'n'roll act, they would have been humiliated.

That, and I could do without Pinkie Pie's songs. I don't mind songs with her in it, but the songs she sings herself are a bit too much for me. :p

Implying characters should have consistent personalities and character arcs.

Whatever, just wash your hands.
The Pinkie Pie sense episode, its still a good episode but Twilight really sucks at science in it and the letter at the end seems to be her saying that science is just bad. And all the lil holes in the plot of the royal wedding like why didn't Twilight ever talk to Celestia instead of her friends who had never met Cadance.

Also there needs to be more Rarity.
