Well...this is kind of stupid. Though it does make a little bit of sense.
Celestia and Luna didn't always exist. Which means their has to be a method to create alicorns rather than them being born somehow. It makes Cadance's existence a lot more probable. Seeing how it goes from "there can only be two in existence" to "we can make more". Except that ends up making each one less special.
I see plenty of people raging over this due to...well...god, why is this happening? I mean, its a joke around the fandom that Twilight is such an OP mother Fucker that she might as well be an alicorn, but this is taking it a bit far. This also brings with it a series of unanswered questions.
1) If alicorns live for 1000's of years, and both Celestia and Luna still look to be in their prime, why do they need another one?
2) Candace looked like a teenage in flashbacks of the season 2 finally, but them looked like an adult. So how does the aging process work for these things?
3) If Celestia is Princess of the Sun, and Luna the moon, what is Twilight suppose to be in charge of? Candance is apparently princess of the Crystal kingdom. But then...
4) What was Candace's purpose before the Crystal empire came back? Was it destined to happened?
5) If Luna was going to be gone for 1000 years, why didn't Celestia train a unicorn to take her place in all that time?
6) If random people can be part of the royal family, are Celestia and Luna even really related.
7) Why the fuck is blueblood a unicorn and not an alicorn? Does Celestia have family members decended from before she became an alicorn?
8) Why is Candace the only Alicorn not associated with a force of nature?
I could go on, but the point remains...
This seems like a bad idea. With RD getting close to being a wonderbolt, and Rarity having business in Canterlot, this seems like the big thing that's going to separate the group.
on that last line of yours, it sorta could what the series finale is setting up to be were the character move to different location because of new opportunities or responsibilities, but they still stay friends and keep in touch.
I say that would be a perfect way to end the series if thats what there building up too.
As for Twilight becoming a alicorn, well I say its not the change but what they do with the character afterwards that important, if she stays the twilight we all know and love then its fine, if she does change than its bad.
Also she looks freaking adorable, as always, Though if they don't make a joke of her crashing, or if she doesn't crash at least a few times, they missed a good opportunity for laughs.
Though if the fandom does freak right the hell out, it be another reason why fandoms should be hear of but not listen to much, unless they do a fair and construction criticism.
Captcha: What is your Quest, fair question, to maybe see some order to the internet, or maybe change some minds at least, but to become a movie director is my quest!
