"Hey look! I made a bridge! Only took me like, ten seconds.
Eleven tops."
It actually took him a week or two, not 28 minutes. Several news-sources edited it in and on the actual mod's page the maker tells us this. Issue is, the Escapist doesn't update most of their articles.

I'm still waiting for the glitch report before I buy, but it's good to see that my inner graphics whore will still be appeased.
Any glitches that were in the Console version post 1.05 patch will still be in the PC version. There aren't a lot of
terrible glitches, the absolute worst area is Blighttown because of the higher lag then most other areas. Other then that, I say it runs better on my PC better then it ever did on my 360. On the 360 it kept crashing for me and on here it runs very smoothly and is just more enjoyable.

And this is the problem I was talking about when the first news about the graphics problems arrived.
There is no excuse that developer don't know that. The only explanation is laziness. Buying the game and rewarding the developer for their laziness is the worst thing they can do. Maybe From Software will do better in their next game/port, but if the game is successful, it will only tell other developer that it's OK to give us bad ports as long as the game isn't complete crap.
From what I understand, From was under some heavy pressure by Bandai to get the game ported at quickly as possible and I can honestly say it is better then Saints Row 2's port which is very difficult to play. While your right on the second one, it is way better then the average port, some don't even give you the option of rebindable keys or of playing outside of a fixed resolution or the choice between fullscreen and windowed.
If anything, it is way better then most other ports because it is not a
bad port but a average one.

I'm still never buying a game from them ever again because of this. Not the game's quality, the fact that they gave in to those entitled jerk PC Gamers.
Righttttt
Because the 13 years spewing racist slurs at me on Xbox live and PSN were totally nice people...
Pot calling the kettle black and all that.
...all my firends and I play are single player games so I honestly don't know what you're talking about.
Well there is the hypocrisy in your statement, good sir. You yourself are unaware of the situation on PC [currently] and are speaking of rash generalizations that died about a year ago while what your arguing is better [either subconsciously or knowingly] without knowing the case on what you are arguing for.

meh, I'm more concerned about the controls then the difference between 720 and 1080p (what ever the fuck that means, yes, i really am that out of touch)
The main difference in monitor size vs tv size is the view distance. Since your sitting closer to a monitor usually a game will appear with a wider right and left view in comparison to a TV which has a narrower view.
If your worried about controls you can use a pad. However once your used to the keybindings they become second nature.

And...why doesn't this guy have a job in the industry yet...? I mean, other than his possibly not wanting one?
Because he either has one [I may be mixing up people here but he may have a job at From however I think I'm thinking of another mod for a different game] or because he did this in the course of a week [which would explain the above idea] doing this.
There may or may not be the answers you seek in the mod's description, I'll check in a little bit.
EDIT: Found it, his quote is this.
I did not do the entire work for this in 23 minutes. I developed an interception dll framework during this week to prepare for the job. I did the actual work to make the game render at higher res in that amount of time though -- based on the framework -- and spent a few more hours testing and adding the config file.
Its rather easy to see why 23 minutes would be impossible if you actually have been around coding for all of five minutes.

On the topic of PC Elitists, I want to tell so many of the people who argue such a thing exists because they, in and of themselves are trying to make PC sound worse because of the community via by doing the exact same thing that PC gamers
"supposedly" do. And many of the things that PC does better [resolution, graphics {artistic and fidelity} wide birth of control methods, ability to do other things while playing a game without having to move, no long DRM verification times, no advertising, 60+ FPS ETC ETC.] have been proven it does do better. On the graphics example, for example, 5 year old hardware is obviously going to be worse then 5 week old hardware right? A more wide example is a week old, plucked tomato vs a ripe tomato recently plucked. Which one would you rather eat?
And having played the Dark Souls PC port, it isn't bad [GFWL wise] once you actually get in the game and get used to the key placement it'll become second nature to playing with a pad.
EDIT:
DAMMIT ESCAPIST, I KNOW THIS MAY SEEM A BIT WHINY BUT COULD YOU USE ROCK PAPER SHOTGUN AS A SOURCE WHEN IT COMES TO PC! I know their british but for the love of god they get
payed to journalese on everything PC and they always get their facts right [especially since he didn't make this in 28 minutes, the accused time is actually 23 and that isn't even true since he did this in about a week and a couple of hours] so please use them. Or at least PC magazine.
