Modern Warfare 2: All losers?

So I'm playing Modern Warfare 2, and I lose yet another handful of games, which by this point isn't surprising to me anymore...
I'm keeping my Kill:Death ratio up, focusing on not letting it drop, but I hadn't really checked out my Win:Loss ratio in ages.
Well, it was a resounding .74, which didn't mean anything to me...
I checked out the other ratios on the leaderboards (my friend's) to find that all of them also have negative wins to losses... Even the ones that play very very well...
Which brings me to the conclusion, in MW2, nobody wins...
Which is true in so many ways, but if all of us are losing games daily, who the hell is winning them all?

The spawn camper who gets a Nuke.
But in that case, doesn't his team win?

In war no one wins, so MW2 must be sticking to realism. But really the wins are just so spread out that it looks like there are more losses then there are wins.

Agamer1 is winning
He's a friend of mine who has a K/D ratio of 5!
Seriously not everyone looses, it's just that not everyone cares.

I'm talking about W:L, not K:D...
But I'm assuming his W:L is positive...

The guys who work as a good team.

My K/D is 1.37 and my W/L is 1.70 (last I checked) and all my friends I play with in a team have positive (or JUST negative) ratios as well.

Just comes from communicating with each other and knowing what to do when really.

NOTE: I don't do the whole you must be over said K/D to be on my friends list - these are just casual guys I played with in CoD4/WaW

I severly doubt he has a positive W/L unless he has a good time to pick up his slack when he sits back. Or if it's PC I'd place a vote on hacks etc because even the best players don't have a K/D that high.

I didn't know people did that...
Sounds pretty...Low.
Anyway, that's the thing. A lot of my friends have just slightly negative K:D ratios, but at the top, there are four guys with amazing kills to deaths, but they too lost more games than they won...
Including me.
K:D is around 1.28ish since I've started doing worse and worse, but it used to be at a constant of 1.48...
Always had more losses than wins, since I can remember...

In more ways than one.
As previously stated in the first post.

Oh yes, there were clans in WaW that would only accept anyone with a K/D of 2 or higher - I got kicked out of a party for having a 1.8 before lol.
Yeah that's the thing though if you go for a high K/D it often means giving up on the objective play, which in turn leads to a loss.
A high K/D means you're likely hiding a lot and not working as a team, wheras a lower K/D often shows you're willing to go for objectives without caring about taking a death. THESE are the people I like playing with

When the game came out I was like 1.80 in K/D but everyone camped back for killstreaks so I was often the only one going for objectives. Which means taking a lot of deaths

k:d ratio doesnt mean too much to me, if somone has something like 4:1, but only gets 4-5 kills per game, they are more useless than someone who runs and guns and gets 20 kills 9 deaths.

as for me, my W:L is 1.39 and my K:D is 1.48, and lately ive been 'hurting' it because whenever i go into last stand and i know i wont be getting any kills i simply semtex or flash myself to deny the other player his kill, kinda dickish, but in a game where everyone and their grandma uses the same tactics and weapons, you gotta try new stuff.

2.04 KDR. Win/Loss is like 0.7 or some shit. I've noticed it too, maybe 2 people on my friends have positive win ratios.
