Both Ghost in Modern Warfare 2 and Gaz are voiced by the same guy. Plus, Captain Price is in prison in Russia when you rescue him in the second game.

No, if you remember they were taken away in the helicopter, if i remember correctly.

Gaz was shot point-blank in the face with a Desert Eagle.
Cpt. Price was being given CPR by a Russian soldier, who seems to fail.

Think back to Star Wars Return Of The Jedi, Boba Fett fell into the Sarlacc Pitt and apparently died, but because of his fanbase, comics (counted as canon) were made that say Boba Fett blasted his way out of the Sarlacc Pitt and survived. So what i'm trying to say is that Price has a fanbase too, so story plans change and he could end up being a survivor like Soap.
